I'm confused (rant)

All incidents discussed in this rant are just to voice my opinion whether the bans are justified or not...

 

Do we honestly not have to use the report section of the forums anymore? Like honestly as of late there have been multiple bans being handed out like candy for harassment/drama mongering WITHOUT a forums report or a sit, and its honestly making those accusations lose their meaning. Saying a single insult can get you a ban for harassment? Or Having a similar name to someone can get you banned without being on the fucking server? Raiding a person twice is harassment? Saying a single thing about someones ban is drama mongering? All of these WITHOUT using the reports sections on the forums or no sit being called? Like its honestly fucking mind boggling I can go to the nearest upper staff, pull an accusation out of my ass with no proof or formal report and get the accused without even knowing what they did banned. Like seriously it feels like nostalgia when I look back on old dm's with upper staff about someone mrdming or some bullshit and they actually fucking tell me to make a report on the forums, without banning the accused on the spot, for little to no reason other than my word. 

 

before this gets taken down for drama mongering, its intention is not to cause drama, but to raise awareness of all the handing out bans without formal reports/sits.

I never got a sit for my "harassment" ban. I got banned on my first offense too. I just called someone a furfag, pretty toxic lol but I never got told to stop or anything. An admin came to my dms then I pretty much said whatever cause its over. Then I pretty much got banned out of no where. This seriously needs to have like a staff meeting about or something like that.

I mean, a report isn't synonymous with it being accepted. Things that are greatly taken into account on ban appeals and reports are past behavior and evidence at hand. Most of the time reports are just a paragraph full of "This dude/staff has done me wrong, deal with them accordingly" Ban appeals are "The staff is (insert insult here) for banning me with no proof"

DamnedOne has a history with Toe. He’s been told  multiple times to stop messing with him. He continues. And then on top of it shit talks in OOC. With provided evidence.

 

Proper punishment was given out for BOTH instances.

 

As for talking about the person’s ban. No. But going around in OOC with them calling the staff “biased staff” multiple times then continuing the trend by changing their names or their tags to #Free[banned persons name] is drama mongering as it is trying to spread hate to the staff member or members that had anything to do with said ban. Drama mongering is going around trying to create drama. Asking the staff why a player was banned isn’t drama mongering.

I fail to see how saying to free someone is bringing hate to staff. If literally any other player were to do the dumb shit that our group does they might be banned, sure but at least they’d be given a chance to defend themselves. This is why you’re biased. Not letting someone show their evidence before any decision is made. You are the perfect example of how staff members should not do their job. And now let’s see if I get banned for voicing my opinion.

 

The reason people openly talk about you and your decisions is because they want to see something done about it. It’s not a secret that you have had several reports on you and those don’t just come from nowhere. These people really had big enough issues with you to take the time from whatever they were doing and to write a whole thread trying to get done what we all want.

 

For you to be demoted.

 

These reports no matter how numerous they are, are always shot down. That my friend is why people behave the way they do. Not because they want to start drama for no reason, but because the want to see something done since clearly the forums isn’t doing anyone any favors.

I find it funny how all this latest ban drama is to do with the same groups of individuals. Most of these latest cases has had staff witness it or be involved in it themselves, so why would they need a report if they can verify it themselves? I'm not sure if you're dealing with the wrong staff members here but If you come to my DMs claiming you're being harassed and give me no evidence, then I'm telling you tough shit.

 

I may be recalling incorrectly but let's tackle florhns harrassment ban. Over the course of the last week or two I've seen numerous issues with florhn being toxic in voice chats or in general in regards to a user. This escalates to insulting them ingame or some other bullshit which other staff witnessed. As a result, florhn received a ban for being toxic and harassing this user. 

 

As for the free jacket drama, some staff have an issue because of the reasoning for jackets ban, you want to free someone who made pedophilic comments, very nice, but we don't care. I don't know who does care at this point but they should stop caring cause once we stop caring ya'll will chill the fuck out.

This is one of the more baffling things I've read in a while.

 

Perhaps instead of trying to bully him with some bullshit, you could try not breaking the rules. It's literally easier to not break the rules than to go out of your way to break the rules.

 

If we see someone breaking the rules, we will ban them. Apparently there are groups using targeted harassment against players. Rather than having a 24 hour ban or a two week ban, I would personally be looking into a perma ban for that as we have in the past. But these days enforcing the MOTD gets you an incoherent rambling post on the forums about how you're going to get demoted.

 

People who are banned always have an avenue to defend themselves in a ban appeal. You can't have a sit with a player who's offline.

On god. There needs to be a remake of the harassment rule. Like people coming for you personally i.e. your personal looks and stuff along those lines. Calling you a whore aint harassment unless you a full on bitch
