hey guys what about tene i think its overkill to 30 day ban someone for calling a stranger a whore and irrelevant

i mean shit i have been and i have called complete strangers whore and irrelevant multiple times on the server now

On god. There needs to be a remake of the harassment rule. Like people coming for you personally i.e. your personal looks and stuff along those lines. Calling you a whore aint harassment unless you a full on bitch

As of recently we have seen a significant rise in people being called names, harassed and mistreated by players. Previously we were being lax on these cases, but it's gotten to a point where it's become over the top. If you want to be an asshole to players expect to get punished. I can't speak for the entire staff team but I'm sick of the toxicity of the server. Let these bans make a point that we won't tolerate this behavior moving forward. If you know you're going to spew something shitty at another player, keep it to yourself.

I love how every example mentioned here is the same group of people that do everything they can to get around following the rules lol. Any time one of you get in trouble you're all YOUR FUCKIN BIASED MATE, maybe you guys should start following the rules. That's just my (logical) take, do with it what you will.

 

so you're telling me when i say the hard N once in ooc, succ gets to ban me for a day, but when the 4 other people he was basing with, all say it ooc, he lets it slide and another staff member has to do the 12 hour banning? shit man, doesnt seem bias at all.

I agree. The thing is, people keep posting shit like "I just called them a whore and got banned" and seemingly neglect to mention all the other times they were told to stop bothering this person or stop being toxic in general.

Banning people for targeting a single person/particular people over an extended period of time is not something new, it's just that it seems like a much bigger issue now because:

1. More people are doing it now than ever
   
2. The harassment is getting worse
   
3. They get their friends to agree with them and make a big deal out of something like a 24 hour ban for something that was intentional, planned, targeted harassment
   
4. They ignore and deny all previous warnings, sits, punishments, etc to make it seem unwarranted

Hmmm a player with years of experience breaks a rule so he gets punished for it with a 24 hour ban, newer players that don't know any better only get a 12 hour ban, mUsT bE fUcKiN BiAsEd MaTe.

you ever think maybe succ was away from his computer and didn't see it so another staff took care of it? Or that maybe the other staff just got to it first? God forbid you think about something before immediately calling bias.

actually the players that succ was basing with were players that had been part of the community for years, succ wasnt afk, pretty sure he handed out a giga mute to each of his friends, later on another staff member took it to a ban and succ got pissed.

OG, you're a veteran player. You of all people should know that things done multiple times bear a higher weight than if they were done once. That applies to all aspects, RDM, NLR, Degrees of Harrasment, Personal Info Leaking. Some things will be punished more than others. Just because another person had been punished less for the same crime, doesn't mean that you should be punished with the same degree. It all comes down to how new the player is, and how they should really know better. A 1 day ban was given to you instead of a gigamute, because you are not a new player, and should have known better. This is not an attack against you, just explaining why you were banned, instead of giga muted.

the players that all said the hard r one after another were all in the same discord as succ and basing with succ, succ only handed out a gigamute and when another staff member took it a to a ban, succ was mad at him, the players that committed that were no where to being new.

Have you ever thought of NOT saying the word? Instead of baiting staff or pushing your luck? No because those thought processes are too complex for you apparently. Instead of you being a decent player and abiding by our rules and not saying a word to which you have been punished countless times for, you choose to instead test your luck. Not only that but you find reasons to complain when you get punished for it. One of the main ones being "Well he only got a 12 hour ban when I got a 24." Have you considered that maybe those people haven't been previously punished for using that word? While on the flipside you've been punished countless times for it. Stop saying it. Stop breaking our rules. Stop being a minge. 

 

It's as simple as 1,2,3 you don't break rules, you don't get punished.

Yeah I would have to agree that a ban for a first time offence is a bit over kill I think more thought should be put into a ban for harassment. I dont think you should go around and calling people whores but a ban seems a bit over the top in my opinion.
