I made this post because I've noticed sometimes upper staff teams get asked how do I go about replying to ban appeals/reports. So I thought it would be good to make a post that will show you how to gather your evidence for these appeals. Also help my visual learners out their sometimes its better to watch a video then read a discord message that is hidden. Most of the time when you ban a player for MRDM there not gonna make a ban appeal. They just come on the server to rdm and do it again on the next server But their are a few times when a players will try to lie in their ban appeals. saying they were not given a chance or try to bull shit the story. Ive seen this happen too many times and sometimes we unban these players because staff cant provide the evidence to keep them banned. Or you might get a player that will try to challenge your ban because they feel its not a worthy ban. So you need to make sure your always prepared for that. Also remember its Your responsibility as a staff member to respond to your ban appeals, and provide the reason why they were banned and evidence to keep them banned. If a staff member fails to provide evidence or respond within 24hours. The ban will be accepted and unbanned. some tips on what I do to avoid not having evidence for certain situations I record my gameplay and sits. every time I ban a player I record the sit and previous interactions that lead to the players ban. keep my evidence for 2weeks then delete everything if no reports/ban appeals have been made little example to show you that this method does work.. i had a player make a ban appeal and lie about the situation. He didn't know i was recording and I was able to provide all the evidence and prove he was in the wrong. I know the video is no longer there because i deleted it. But you can see how being prepared for situations like this will make replying to ban appeals a lot easier. https://forums.titsrp.com/topic/17021-please-appeal-my-ban/ I know some staff don't like to record or don't have enough space to do so. So if you cant record its okay just make sure you have clear evidence of the situations. If you don't record and you ban a player. Your gonna want to export those logs to your gmod folder. I will show you in the video why you need to export those logs and how their gonna help you later. How to respond to ban appeals as a staff members. Its pretty simple you will probably be notified by another staff member that you have a ban appeal up. So all you need to do is explain why you banned the player and provide evidence to show the ban is valid( Use logs from video as evidence ) Make sure to explain what led to the situations, previous encounters. previous warns/bans …. attitude in the sit, don't leave anything out. After you have said your part now you wait for other staff to reply and given their opinion. When you have enough opinions from staff members and its clear what direction the ban is going. Make a decision on weather to accept or deny the ban. *correction: the correct folder is: C:<GmodFolder>\data\titsrp-bans & titsrp-warns

If staff see someone clearly mass rdming they better deal with it. Even if nobody reported it. If Staff don't seeyou and no reports are made. Not much we can do.

Corp one thing i would like to point out. If its true that you change your name because staff are not taking your sits. Please pm me on discord so we can talk. I personally do not have a issue with you corp. Yes sometimes you are pain in the ass, but im going to treat you like every player. My past experience with you was has not been the best. I remember in certain sits when you dont get your way. Staff are immediately biased. There has been some pretty reports from you but thats in the past and i honestly dont care. Yes you report alot but they do have some validation in them. One thing i can promise you corp if you treat my fellow staff members with respect you will get respect. If you feel staff members are targeting you or being unfair twords you. Please talk to me but be ready to provide me proof and good explanation of what happen. Please change your name back to corp, you shouldn't feel you have to change names to get help from staff. ( if you like to)
