This whole proposal just seems like a ploy to be allowed to harass and get people you don't like off the server. Your entire first post is just "i am conservative and im tired of these damn snowflakes not letting me scream the nword."

Not true, like I literally just want to be left alone, and do my own thing. I dont want the rules removed because I personally want to be able to mess with other players or anything like that. I just want to be able to play the server and occasionally engage in trash talk without someone doing the whole "Stop! Stop!" thing as an attempt to get me to keep going until they eventually report me.

The way I play the server, I tend to piss a lot of people off (kidnapping, cop, any other hated shenanigans) and when I do so, usually enemies are made. When I make these enemies, they tend to do things such as kill me with whatever chance they get, stay in my general area so if I slip up they can engage, or anything else similar. Now, there is nothing wrong with this, makes the server more fun. The issue is when it gets personal, and they are unable to channel their anger in a way that isnt destructive. What happens at this point is they usually say something in OOC something that doesnt include my name, but is directed at me. Me picking up on this, I respond back, keeping it tame nothing too crazy, maybe a simple "Shut up retard" or "Keep crying" then it devolves into an argument, then we get to the "Stop" phase which is when they give a "warning" that if I dont stop, something bad will happen, so this is the point where I seize. Half the time, this is when their last ditch effort is engaged, which is where they say "Thank you for stopping" in PMs, sometimes OOC, but usually PMs. I think were all aware this is reverse psychology, and I know this because only the most toxic and terribly obnoxious people do this.

Also, it has nothing to do with slurs, I am not talking about those as of now, I dont even say them really. I personally dont see why politics is being involved in this either, theres not even anything political in my post.

Why not say instead "I think I am superior to people with differing beliefs, autism, gay people, and women and I want them off the server because they don't like me screaming how I hate them."

This solution will never happen and you sound genuinely delusional in all of your replies.

This is stupid, I hold no hatred for anyone, especially anyone with autism or women. As far as the delusion thing, thats extremely ironic and foolish to say. (that being said, my beliefs are superior)

I'm a bit late to this party but I'm throwing in my two cents even if it isn't wanted.

Your post contains a lot of victim-blaming narratives that always states that the victim is trying to be a victim (which in that case, they wouldn't be a victim).

In reality, people just want to play the damn game and not have people throwing suicide comments, slurs, and other bullshit. Instead of calling someone a queer slur, why don't you just turn the other cheek and be in your way? People can be angry at dumb game shit, emotions are fine and dandy, but is it really necessary to use slurs and target players just because you don't like them..?

At a certain point it just looks like you're obsessed with bullying people.

I have decided to make this post after the increased amount of recent reports for harassment and toxicity, and one of them even getting a 1 month ban I believe. Personally, I dont see this as right, and I have reason to believe a lot of you agree with me. If you spend any time on the server at all, and you are a bit of a controversial fellow, you know how the cycle goes:

Player X who most likely lacks a father or God gets killed, arrested, etc. by Player Y -> Resentment and anger builds up in Player X -> Player X decides to do anything in their power to antagonize and instigate Player Y that isnt explicitly breaking rules -> Player Y gets pissed, proceeds to talk some trash, say some mean words -> Player X reports Player Y -> Player Y is banned.

Or, alternatively: Player X makes himself an easy target to Player Y because he lacks social skills, impulse control, or never had truly masculine friends -> Player Y is more gravitated to mess with Player X as a result -> Instead of muting Player Y, avoiding him, etc. Player X decides to allow Player Y to mess with him until he has enough evidence  -> Makes a report -> Player Y is banned

Needless to say, this is an issue, it really is. You can twist is however you want but besides a couple of differences, these are the 2 scenarios that someone will make harassment reports about. If you notice, in these 2 scenarios, it traces back to the "victims" fault, which is true 99% of times. This would beg the question: Maybe if we didnt have rules that appeal to the resentment and vengeful nature of these people, maybe players  would learn to not make themselves targets of this "Harassment". I guarantee you if we get rid of ANY rules against toxicity, harassment, targeting, etc. We wouldnt have any cases of harassment within 3 months, because when you make rules and allow people to have a way of thinking where if they dont like someone, they can simply bait them into harassing them and then just get them banned. I have had many people attempt to do this to me, so I know how it goes every time.

I start calling someone names, they start going "Stop now, seriously" which is basically just saying "Keep going so I can report you please" and I do stop so I dont get in trouble, and usually a little bit later I will get a PM from them saying "Thank you for stopping" Which is basically their hail mary to appeal to my pride and get me to start saying things again (reverse psychology). Its such a headache to deal with isnt it? I dont even say anything crazy or bad, I just call them a baby and say "Wah Wah" or something stupid like that, and they get pissy over it. This whole idea that "Harassment and toxic is bad" is based on the presumption that being mean is inherently bad, which its not, its amoral. It is the same with being nice, being nice isnt good or bad, its amoral. When I was a plumber I had a boss that was mean constantly and yelled at me constantly, but it was simply so I could get angry, and channel that anger into my job, something greater then me. If you ever worked a hard labor job in your life, and had a boss that was above the age of 30, you probably know EXACTLY what I am talking about. If you have had any form of true masculine comradery as a man growing up, you would be messed with and made fun all the time, its how we mess around with each other and have fun. Its not my fault that some cry baby cant taking reading 3 letters on a screen, or seeing a slur of some sort. They dont belong on the internet if thats the case. Notice how that was the golden age of gaming was when you were getting told "KYS" over a a text message because you were hardscoping on nuketown on BO2? Its no coincidence that the most fond memories of gaming was OBSCENELY toxic, the issue is when you blend femininity and toxicity is when things start going sideways, which is what we are seeing now. I would argue making a toxicity report on someone (even though you basically allowed the toxicity) is EXTREMELY toxic.

My solution? Literally get rid of the rules ENTIRELY. All of them. Targeting, harassment, toxicity, anything related to these. At least for 3 months, and lets see the difference between now, and 3 months later. I promise you the state of the server will be vastly better

The thing we all need to realize is that even if you dont like someone, they should still be allowed to play the server, even if they break the rules against you. If they dont have a negative impact on the general population of the server, and they get banned for something, then they make an appeal and seem apologetic, they should be unbanned. This is exactly why I dont like getting most players banned, yet I constantly challenge staff. We are all here to have a good time, and have fun, relax with the boys. Where is the fun in getting your enemies banned? Wouldnt be much fun if you dont have that one juggernaut outside your kidnap dupe that lays you out every time you try to kidnap someone (C*ntbucket, im looking at you). Just keep that in the back of your head, were all here to have a good time and a bitter nature mixed with the enshrinement of harassment and toxicity rules makes for a terrible time, which we already have seen.

Oh yes how do we increase the population of our dying server I know let's allow people to call new players slurs!

On a serious note I used to play tits RP a lot back in 2016 through 2018 and recently started playing again. and with the current rules in place I have already been called slurs almost every time I log on I've even been vote banned for the reason of "massive queer" which was a troll obviously however logging on and getting called a Fa**ot or hearing random high leveled players which I will not name here calling new players the n word or other general slurs is incredibly demotivating and makes me debate on quitting the game again but this time for good.

Tldr. I love tits RP and believe it's one of the last good servers on DRP but I strongly believe that especially coming from the eyes of a veteran player who had sunk a lot of time into the server years before. That endorsing this behavior will only further worsen the servers current state. - You may miss that "Golden Age" but times have changed and this server needs to either evolve with it or be left in the dust.

Someone called you a f*ggot? You are letting people on a gmod server get under your skin with words to a point of leaving? Who cares man, seriously. Its so cringe. Talk about losing a player base by getting rid of these rules, how about all of the long time players getting banned because they were being mean on a gmod server, or how about how toxic it is for someone to allow another player to "harass" them just to make a report and get them banned.

If getting rid of them isnt the solution to stopping players from abusing them, what is?
