Weird how in the video you can clearly see how the body is being shot when your shots aren't legitimately missing the model by multiple inches. Once again, skill issue for anyone complaining. Animations will not affect the hitbox. Please do post a clip of it CLEARLY affecting the hitbox, and this will end the argument. All you have posted is a clip showing the skill level of a cop main.

Because im not shooting at the part thats moving spastically? Aint no skill issue, its just an issue. If it gives no advantage, then why not get rid of it? Makes no sense in RP that alone is good enough reason. Also, multiple people in this thread that are in favor of keeping it admit it messes with the hitbox, not gonna hop on the server to take a clip.

"If it gives no advantage just remove it" This logic is so flawed. In life do you NEED to play gmod? Does it give you an advantage? No. But you enjoy it right? Some would it's debatable considering the job certain people play, but regardless. Just because something isn't NEEDED, it doesn't mean you don't have to have it. Animations provide no advantage, but it's fun to use them. Such a silly argument. Additionally, you do realize that when you use that animation, the only moving part is the arms?.... the torso BARELY moves, which still does not affect the hitbox. The head does in fact move, but it doesn't affect the hitbox. Either way, as you said earlier:

No reason to aim for headshots in this server lmao, hilarious that you even attempt to use that as a defense. There are so many models with virtually no headshot hitbox, any veteran player knows this.

If you're not even trying to aim for the head, there really is no point in you even replying to this thread. The head hitbox does not get affected regardless.

Once again, skill issue.

It fucks with the hitbox very little, the bigger reason people use the emotes is a way to disguise where their gun is pointing, and any other animations they want to disguise (reloading for example) since the emote animation takes priority.

It does add an advantage to combat but literally nothing is stopping you from doing it yourself.

The emotes literally do nothing to hitboxes and you admit here and in the original post anime models are the offenders? Not all anime models have broken hitboxes but the ones that do and use this would still not be affected in making it more or less broken.

The ONLY way this can be argued to give an advantage is that it is annoying to look at and distracting when you are shooting someone.

Furthermore the video you post all the shots you were supposed to hit did hit so what is it supposed to show?

Im also seeing people posting that jump crouching is not a problem but this is, which shows their intentions in my opinion

If it truly gives no advantage, then there would be 0 issue with removing it, yet everyone that uses it is here defending it. Either way, even if it didnt mess with the hitbox, id still be against due to the fact that it doesnt make sense in RP, and that it would still make it hard to hit people since there would be constantly moving parts.

I don't use the frenzy emote in any way. I still think its dumb that we'd need to remove an entire emote due to something so minimal as this. So many dance animations do this. So what do we do about it? Remove all the act commands that moves the hitbox in a way? Create a weird rule where if somebody does this they get warned for failrp? Our server is MEANT to be silly, who cares if somebody dances on your ass while you fight them?

Just completely ignore the part that followed after I said remove it, Ill say it again: It makes no sense in RP, this alone is a good enough reason to get rid of it on an RP server, not to mention that it messes with your hitbox.
