02/15/2024 Staff Tips Modified Keep your ban reasons clean professional. No personal comments from yourself or quotes from the banned player is allowed. Any context surrounding the ban is fine. Good example of a ban message: "MNLR | FailRP | Kept interfering in raids as sewer lord". Bad example of a ban message: "ARDM, learn how to aim shitter" RDM Modified Accidental: Verbal warning would be given unless it could have obviously been avoided. Intentional: Verbal/Warning or a 1 hour -3 day ban. Punishment is at your discretion. Remember, education>punishment. If the player is RDMing for false reasons and is asked to stop (ex: Revolution is over but still killing CP) the ban should result in a Verbal/Warn or a 1 hour - 24-hour ban depending on the player's attitude If the player killed the person for "Revenge RDM" because they are angry they lost then it should result in a warn or 1 hour - 3-day ban depending on the player's attitude and punishment history If the player killed the person for no reason but to just kill them, a 3-day ban should be issued for "No Intention to RP" If the player RDM'd someone and has multiple recent warns(i.e: three RDM warns within 2 weeks) then a 3 day ban can be issued for "IRDM | NITRP" Mass RDM: Intentional or not can default to a one week ban. Use your best judgement here. As a staff member you have final say in punishment, there is no minimum time for any mass ban, if it was an accident you can verbal, or even give a 1 hour ban. (ex: Someone forgets to advert PD raid and kills 3+ players, you can then verbal for fail raiding instead of banning for MRDM) Mass RDM w/ NITRP: Will default up to a one week ban (ex: Someone joins, instantly goes bounty hunter to shoot everyone on the street and LTAP when they are jailed) NLR Modified NLR exists. Consider the risk / loss if someone breaks NLR Single NLR: Verbal or warn. Repeat offender probably deserves a warn. Intentional NLR: NLR involving a raid is more serious and can result in either a warn or 1 hour - 3 day ban. Mass NLR: Intentional NLR or NLR involving a raid is more serious and can result in either a warn or ban. Use your best judgement on this, mass anything can result in a 7 day ban. RDA Modified Accidental: Usually A verbal warning would be given unless it could have obviously been avoided. In this case usually an apology is all that's needed + a refund if necessary. Intentional: But with a false reason, then a warning or a CP ban should be given. Intentional: With no reason then the ban should result in a warning up to a 6 hour - 3-day ban. Intentionally RDA'ing would result in a punishment of a warning/cp ban, up to a 1 hour - 3 day ban. If the cop arrested someone for being RDMed earlier, the ban should be 6 hour - 24 hours depending on the attitude of the player Verbal/Warn or CP ban the player. If the cop arrested someone due to some personal grudge against the user, the ban should be 6 hour - 24 hours depending on the attitude of the player Warn/1 hour - 3 day ban or 3 hour cp ban. If the cop arrested someone for absolutely no reason, the ban should be 24 hours at a minimum Mass RDA: Intentional or not can lead to one week ban. Acceptable CP Ban lengths: 15-30 minutes - 1 hour - 3 hour - 6 hour. For the six hour ban, use this for serious offenses in which you would rather use a lesser punishment, or have them educated. For example: A cop arrests 7 people but apologizes or has a good attitude in the sit, you can then 6 hour cp ban instead of the normal 7 day MRDA ban. FTC Removed FTC entirely Not listening to a staff member / continues to cause issues / not helping staff resolve their issue 1-day - 3-day ban depending on the player attitude Running away from a sit / not listening 1-day ban - 3-day ban depending on the player attitude Notes: With FTC being removed I would like to remind all the staff reading this changelog that you can include context in ban reasons. The only thing not allowed in ban messages are personal comments. But unfortunately it has taken a turn for that, I have never seen other Pd Mains block off the panel until these two, like I said it's nothing more to minging with stroking their ego's while constantly waiting outside spawn and cuff people. I don't get the blocking the panel still since they still get paid for people buying licenses and paying their bounty, but maybe a few warns and a ban from the server for a few days/Months might make them think probably not.

See, you don't get it, he only obides by his own rules, he only listens to himself and not the mayor.

can you please quote the rule in the motd where it says cops can decide to kos people for trying to enter the first room of pd, which isnt even aos by default. Once you cannot quote it I hope to see an apology to the people you have rdmed thinking you can set your own rules and kos people entering pd without a law from the mayor. edit also the main point of the forums post, if that were allowed it would set the precedent that cops can just go around and block anything that isnt technically an npc such as fishing rod closets, hit phones and gambling machines, which obviously isn't allowed.

Is this the same as an NPC? By definition, no it isn’t. Is this propblock? Yes, it is. Don’t block things to hinder RP experiences. If the mayor wants it locked, the mayor will lock it. Playing as CP has never been about making the player experience miserable for everyone but unfortunately it has taken that turn. These changes are implemented to make the experience better for everyone, not to find new ways to make it miserable again.

the PD lobby is not by default KOS or even AOS so no the cops cannot decide that on their own lol, the mayor can make entire PD kos but not a cop that isnt in the rules at all 2nd floor of the PD isnt KOS by default unless a person is hostile

just make an npc to give licenses. put it outside the PD like the mayor election npc.

like others said, the mayor can lock it, police cannot block it lol, its the mayors panel not the PD, its between you and the mayor, same thing as building in the jail cells, if the mayor dont want you doing it you have to remove it

Under the current ruleset the panel is clearly not an NPC, The CP are also allowed to build within the pd and can make lines/restrictions as they wish, including KOS, They can lock the front doors if they really wanted to be assholes as well. also, if this bothers you, go mayor and deal with it lol, Unless the mayor has an issue with it it's between the CP to do with their base as they wish, the panel is a privilege not a right which is why the mayor has a dedicated mechanic to lock this.
