'removal from community' I was banned from the GarrysMod server for saying I hope Skii dies in a private discord call. Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I won't pretend what I said wasn't absolutely disgusting. It was and that's the truth. This wouldn't be an appeal if I just came here to say that so I'll begin to explain why I don't think a perma was justified so here goes. I would've understood a perma from the discord and a 2 week ban from the GarrysMod server, but this was my first harassment ban ever and I haven't received a warn for harassment either. Please don't mistake this for me trying to justify or say what I said wasn't an awful thing to say because it was. I know not everyone is too fond of me and everyone has their reasons. Unfortunately there is little to do that can change peoples opinion on me, I've said and done things I can't undo, and I know that. I've spent my boredom that came with not having this server to play on and really took a step back and saw things for what they were, I really was just an asshole. And I took me this long to realize that I don't want to be that dude anymore. If anyone wants to have a conversation with me, whether it be clarifying details on my ban or something else I'd be glad to. my discord is Frisco#0001 Who warned/banned you? Based on the number of times this player has been banned, even permanently in the past, in addition to his record of extremely toxic and awful behavior, I seriously believe that nothing short of medical intervention is going to make them tolerable in this community. Took me a minute to sign in on my phone. Just wanting to provide information when needed. My previous permanent bans were the anti cheat not liking jet packs and requested permanent bans. None were because I did anything wrong. I have received one warning in the last year and a half. This is my first ban for breaking a rule in over a year. Posted October 1, 2020 Share Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) I'm neutral here, I really haven't seen anything that screams "i wont do shit like this again" but I know personally you aren't the worst person out there, you can be pretty chill, and it would be better to focus on that side of yourself more. I dont really have any reason to not want you back, but at the same time, I haven't seen anything that would make me want you back either. I don't hate you at all, but like, what proof we got that you aren't going to keep the toxic behavior up? It would be great to feel confident that if you came back, you'd be decent. I'm going -1 here , you sum up your toxicity as a "persona" to keep people away which is no excuse, and while you say you are owning up to your toxicity, I'm not feeling it, at all. I don't want anyone to deal with that. If you get unbanned, then you really need to watch what you say to people anyway. All I know from you, is that you've been a toxic person, who says anything he wants to anyone, without ANY regard for their wellbeing. Look, man, I don't know what issues you go through, but people are trying to have fun when they play the server, not get met with someone saying "You should legitimately kill yourself. I, personally, do not tolerate this behavior, and think that anyone who does this on a daily basis, to ruin people's fun, and just shatter them, should NEVER come back. Spartan Posted October 1, 2020 Share Posted October 1, 2020 In my own personnel experience, you were never toxic to me, nor have you ever done me wrong. I can't recall a time in the past when you did something even remotely this horrible, wishing death upon someone, especially is such a horrific way is unacceptable. Seeing as your a long time player, you knew that saying that wouldn't end good for you, you admit that by saying you should have been banned for 2 weeks. Taking into your ban history into account, there are cases that are quite similar to this one, such as The Soviet Joker, he didn't have an extensive ban history, but because he made a stupid decision to say death threats, he was banned. The reason bring this up is because I thinks it's dumb when you use that as an argument for a shorter ban. But, even after saying all this, I do feel that you truly want to come back, and you have made an effort to self evaluate yourself. For this reason I am +1 for a ban reduction. I think you need more time to learn your lesson and to come back a better man. Perm bans need to hold more weight and if they are going to be unbanned, that person should be 100% changed and be seeking to add to the community instead of constantly taking away from it. -1 as I’ve witnessed the toxicity and it’s not good. Anyone casting their judgement because they haven’t witnessed it or had anything done to them really need to reach out to staff and discuss this. This isn’t a mod app where those comments matter. This is an appeal for someone who has been incredibly toxic. Its awful what I said, yeah, but the garrysmod server rules are being enforced in private discord calls. Think for a second if the Chinese Law Enforcement broke down your front door and declared, “You’ve broken 31 laws of our laws in the last week and you’re behind arrested.” hopefully that puts my ban into perspective. I won’t sit here and tell you guys that I was never toxic, because I’d be lying to y’all and myself. This ban appeals purpose was to show y’all that my perma was false, because it is. It was my first EVER harassment punishment, and there is a reason for that, when staff tell me to stay away from someone I listen. I wasn’t given the chance to just leave him alone because he didn’t even know I said that in the first place. Me saying this was an only an issue after someone posted that clip, causing all the issues that didn't exist until they made the conscience decision to spread it. *sigh* I see the direction this is headed though.
