I have never interacted with him (as I was gone before his time) and my only time hearing him was during the meeting. However, the meeting that was held today was clearly a horrible decision in regard to discussing Haze's ban. The idea on paper sounds good, but it was clear that everything was fixed for him whereas people who were brought up and made valid points, were silenced shortly after. Not to mention, the only advocate to Haze (who only has 1 hour playtime) was brought up to speak for a lot longer. A community meeting should not be where people are shut down for speaking their opinions (unless it's a meme or flat out lashing out). This was a poorly executed meeting and the topic on Haze's ban was too long for the outcome that was ultimately decided. Haze also refused to acknowledge and take any accountability for his acts in the past, and that meeting was nothing more than to show the light of Haze and not the dark. I think that if a person is bad enough to be community removed, then that should stay community removed. Honestly, community removals itself needs to have another look at. Because the idea to be banned for a bit and then come back after a few years is clearly stupid. People can change, but I don't really think this guy has changed much. Then I asked him if he has any idea as to why so many communities would randomly hate him and choose to ban him for no reason(as I and many other on this server have likely never experienced having multiple server communities deciding out of the blue to perma ban then for no reason) and he just kept repeating that it was because the servers themselves were toxic and hes not sure why they actually did it! LeGerbs Posted January 5 Share Posted January 5 (edited) Got some clarity in this situation. This player is the one who caused the "smod rebellion" way back in the day. This wasn't a situation of bad bookkeeping or ban heavy staff. I won't go into heavy detail as it's not important but this player caused a lot of trouble for our Moderator team back in the day. We had a lot of issues with inactive admins as well who werent the best at communicating with us smods. Haze seemed to be the gas that was poured on an already existing fire. If you want more details about the "rebellion" feel free to ask me on discord. Because the smod team (myself included) was upset with our admins at the time we pushed for a ban on this player and the admins were against it due to lack of evidence. We essentially used this as a scape goat to can admins we didn't like. This player is a problem child and its set pretty clear with his history on other servers as well. I'm not for an unban as he seems like a toxic player but it's also not worth getting up in arms about this appeal either. I apologize for getting vile in this appeal and blaming/shaming supporting staff members. I didn't remember who this player was clearly as its been a long time. If the supporting staff believe in a second chance for this player I won't fight against it. If he does get unbanned he most likely won't last long. Pickle was indeed a real person, lol. The bans stated actually never happened; I was an event manager on said server and obviously had access to Haze's warn logs and know a far greater deal than you do. There wasn't even a ban on record, as a matter of fact. It's amazing how hard you try to pin this guy for anything when you didn't bother to do your research the first time and immediately assumed I was a liar and that you were right.
