Who warned/banned you? Literally sent a link to my discord DM’s disguised as a YouTube link and it took me to grabify, I was on my phone using my data so you couldn’t really do shit with it anyway. This wasn’t two years ago, it was last year. I had messaged the admins at the time because I couldn’t ban you from the discord as I was only Mod at the time; also couldn’t get in game to ban you. Guest Posted December 3, 2022 Share Posted December 3, 2022 This is the rule that i do believe this falls into, as you can see, it can be between 1 week and a permaban, permaban i assume being like, actually doxxing them with all their personal info in doxbin, as much as i am against grabbing someone's IP, i do believe that grabbing someone's IP is just so blown out of proportion, you can't just "Hack and Doxx" them by getting their IP, the most that you can do with someone's IP is DDoSing them for maybe 1 or 2 hours, and you can just restart the router to stop it since it will give you a new IP address, i do believe that what he did was very stupid and it was expected that he was gonna get spanked, but time goes on, people look back at the stupid stuff they did in the past and learn from their mistakes and mature and i do believe he deserves to get forgiven, if he ever tries sending an IP grabber again you staff members can always permaban him again. It's one thing to be like I found out the person who doesn't talk is a girl and make fun of them for being a female and leak it or share a photo of them and shit. It's another when you're sending IP Grabbers and the potential is just way the fuck out there at that point. -1 from me as well. You narrow down their geolocation then when your digging for other u do you have a general area to factor in. Still shady and a fucked thing to do The only data that you can get from someone's IP is the city of the ISP that the user is connected to, there is no way u can get someone's geolocation with (only) the IP address.... I'm kind of in the middle on this though & will wait for more staff members to reply. Part of me thinks I would be okay with giving you a second chance, because what you did is anywhere from a week ban to a permanent ban, and you got the maximum possible. And realistically what you did could have been worse. But at the same time I'm pretty sure I remember you causing issues on the server and being non compliant with staff multiple times and just making what we do more difficult so I'm not sure if me or other staff want to have to possibly deal with that again. Also someone sending IP grabbers is just something I would rather not have to be worried about on the server or on our discord... Also there was just little effort put into this appeal.
