also succ, there is no such thing as a public base without a sign. as an actual current staff member you should know what a public base is.

i was the victim of your rdm. you are just mad that you are being held accountable for your actions

Basically, you shouldn't kill people for bad/no reasons if your doors are wide open in district 1 since A LOT of people tend to just wander inside the bases located there. if your doors were originally closed and locked you would be fine to just shoot whoever comes in. Best thing to do in that scene if someone if being a nuisance is it use the E menu and warn them or using an advert warn.

People have been warned for doing the same thing before. Also, if I may ask what were they doing specifically other than shit talking while in your base?

Called one guy a f***ot, just running in starting shit with people.

So, even though the base is not public whatsoever, has entities on the top floor and closed off rooms, I have to warn people to leave?

Also for future reference, if somebody raids the base I can call a sit on them for raiding a public base even though there is no public base sign?

Might I add that by the standard you're making on this Coba you're basically saying that in the photo the alien, citizen and hobo in your screenshot are all actively raiding you due to it not being a public base. Why are you allowing them to raid you then?

Because it's an RP base and they aren't doing anything. By the logic you just used, if you allow someone to stay in your base you can't kill any raiders. Come on man.

So what they mean to say is it's less about the base being private versus public, and more so about the fact that it LOOKS inviting from an outside perspective. With the doors wide open and a big sign saying it's a pizzeria, many newer players and experienced players alike might assume the base is public just off of appearance alone. That's why it comes off as "kill-baiting", since from the outside it looks like a public basing area. I understand why you're frustrated about this since it's a little bit of a nuanced rule and what is "kill-baiting" can be subjective at times, but in this instance you gotta admit a newer player is gonna see "ooo a cool pizza place!" and walk into an area they can now be freely gunned down at any point. It's not as on the nose as "free guns inside!!!", but it's still deceptively inviting from the outside (especially since the doors are wide open and in a high traffic area.)

Basically, if you're gonna continue operating it the way you are now, that's fine. But you have to make sure you give someone an ample opportunity to leave if you don't want them there, or wait for them to do something hostile towards you. (Lockpicking a locked door, shooting at you, etc.)

I hope this can help put it into perspective a little easier!

what you're saying is it isn't a public base but I still need to act like it is even though there were printers and closed off areas of the base? It is honestly mind-boggling how hard this is trying to be justified when it isn't a public base at all.

The rule for public bases is very blatant in it's wording man. If it doesn't say public base, it isn't a public base. There were entities inside the thing, which very easily could have been checked by the staff that took this sit and gave the warn.

If the warn is gonna stay, cool. But you guys really need to change a bunch of rules. There needs to be a blatant rule that says RP Bases are Public Bases and do not need a Public Base sign. The kill-baiting rule needs to be changed so that "any sign indicating an establishment must be treated as a public base and if you don't warn people to leave it is RDM" is added to it.

If it's not a public base then that's perfectly fine, but you can't leave your doors permanently unlocked and planted in front of a high traffic area. The only real fix you'd have to make to how you operate is keep the front doors locked and probably take down the sign. You can still control who enters that way whilst maintaining it as a "private base" for all intents and purposes.
