zombie event clarification

what are the rules for the zombie infection event?

 

zombies are not KOS, but apparently you aren't allowed to shoot them at ALL? even if they are chasing you down and swinging at you, trying to turn you into a zombie?

 

some clarification would be dope.

Dude these rules have been flip flopping now for almost 3 years because of high staff turnaround. Right now I saw some posts about them not being KOS unless they're attacking you. As far as I can tell that's the set guideline now.

 

People are pushing to have them KOS which is how its been since you and I were admin but who knows fam.

I just got pulled into a sit because I killed 3 that were in a group all chasing me down the street trying to attack me. I was told you're not allowed to kill them at all because "getting turned has no effect"

I've already brought it up myself, everyone I've talked to/heard talk about it has said they hate the rule. There should be a clearly visible button to opt out of the event before it starts for anyone who doesn't want to be kos'd. Problem solved - now any zombie participating can be murdered. It's a fun purge-like event that titsrp never gets except during this one time of the year.

there is nothing in the rules about the zombie event at all, so wouldn't it make sense that the staff just enforce it through regular rdm rules? if they're swinging their claws at you idk how it would be rdm at all, punching someone is kos even if you miss.

Not in the rules due to it only being a thing for ~30 days out of 365. It's dumb to add a rule that only exists for less than 1/10th of a year.

 

That being said tho. The whole message of "being turned has no effect" whoever said that call them retarded for me. They're infecting you, there's a chance the dude who infected you was someone you might not like and if they win the event they get a prize. Like make that nigga earn that shit. Make him earn infecting you. I say make infected Zombies KOS fuck those niggas if they dont want to be infected make it like a Lockdown. Hide indoors.

a little subsect towards the absolute assbottom of the rules page SPECIFICALLY targeted towards these seasonal events/mapchanges wouldnt hurt imho

Zombies will not be changed and it will continue to be considered RDM to attack them. Do not kill them for trying to infect you as it does not affect you in a way that has been deemed to be valid to kill.

The zombie event was added to cause chaos during the Halloween season. That's pretty much it. They don't do any damage to you and being "infected" does not cause any harm in terms of health/armor/speed/etc. The point is to infect as many people as you can. You get XP, cash, and a chance at a pet or chat-tag for each person you infect. The player with the most infections will get a lootbox. Because they don't do any damage or have any negative effect on you besides making you walk funny, there's really no justification for killing them. This is not a purge event and it was never intended to be one.
