I was banned for hitting 25 warnings, I am making the case that the warning that led to the ban was unjust. Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I said in OOC "Swedish people are faggots and failures" in reference to a meme with my friends. This led to the moderator "Abstergo McStubbins" pulling me to a sit and warning me for racism, which subsequently led to me being banned for 2 weeks for hitting 25 warns (Which I have accrued through my 4 years on the server). I spoke to an admin regarding the ban asking whether it would even be smart to try and appeal this, they said that they don't see it as racism and that I could appeal it. I know that I have had a (semi) recent history of toxicity, but I have not been toxic since I was last punished for it, instead joking around in ooc with friends. Who warned/banned you? koda Posted January 15, 2021 Share Posted January 15, 2021 (edited) I personally think that this should be lifted, so far (from what I know) we only really punish for racism if the person says the hard R, other wise I've never seen anyone else banned for using other slurs like "******", "ch*nk" or any other slurs by any other staff members. After breaking this down, I don't think what he said is exactly racism, and if we let other people say F*****, but not this guy, just because he targeted an ethnicity with it, would be hella hypothetical. Its a bit rich to me that you are saying these things while your profile picture is a similar ethnic stereotype about australian people. The ban was only a consequence of him accruing enough warnings and wasn't a punishment for his offense. Edit: It would normally be an iffy warning but hasn't Sticks been around longer than me? If not, his current forums account joined 3 years ago so he's had plenty of time to figure out to not be toxic in OOC. Neutral, it should be removed if he can convince Abstergo to remove it or if other staff think it's chill. Also non-staff need to stop commenting unless they have evidence or something, like Piklas' reply was an addition of information to the appeal but "ITS NOT RAYCIST LOL" isn't.
