I've already brought it up myself, everyone I've talked to/heard talk about it has said they hate the rule. There should be a clearly visible button to opt out of the event before it starts for anyone who doesn't want to be kos'd. Problem solved - now any zombie participating can be murdered. It's a fun purge-like event that titsrp never gets except during this one time of the year. As a wise man (henchy) once said long ago:

Zombies not being kos is the most stupidest thing ever. What are we just supposed to run? Where is the fun in that. This event when Ive been on just now has happened 3 times in 30 minutes. Thats pretty frequently. What is the fun in being chased by a horde of zombies and you just run. This rule is stupid asf for an event. What do people do in movies and games when being chased by zombies? THEY KILL THEM!!!!!!!!!! Im really curious to hear what other people think of this. Ive heard its been this way for 2 plus years. I feel like a lot of others would feel the same way how this is dumb asf.

The event was added to cause chaos but zombies don't do any damage so why would they be KOS? There's really no incentive to kill them. The goal is to get infected as fast as possible and infect as many people as you can. (you can infect yourself by smashing a pumpkin). The goal of the event is to earn XP, cash, and potentially a lootbox for infecting other players, you get absolutely nothing for killing them. If you want to kill them, I can have it do damage so it's justified but there's really no reason not to participate unless you're in your base or something which is totally cool too. I added a chance to get a pet and chat tag and increased the rewards by 4x for infecting players.

It's good that there is a solid answer to this, but I don't get how anyone who doesn't visit forums/discord is going to get this memo. If I was a new player on the server and saw a dramatic zombie outbreak taking place I would for sure be killing all of them. I feel like this must be a headache for the staff team

I agree with dunker it does seem pretty redundant to just run away from zombies when we should be allowed to just blast em. +1 for zombies to be kos

The zombie event was added to cause chaos during the Halloween season. That's pretty much it. They don't do any damage to you and being "infected" does not cause any harm in terms of health/armor/speed/etc. The point is to infect as many people as you can. You get XP, cash, and a chance at a pet or chat-tag for each person you infect. The player with the most infections will get a lootbox. Because they don't do any damage or have any negative effect on you besides making you walk funny, there's really no justification for killing them. This is not a purge event and it was never intended to be one.

Dude these rules have been flip flopping now for almost 3 years because of high staff turnaround. Right now I saw some posts about them not being KOS unless they're attacking you. As far as I can tell that's the set guideline now. People are pushing to have them KOS which is how its been since you and I were admin but who knows fam.
