Yes and no. No, because I had to come back to my PC every now and then to readjust my view (and claim my Christmas Presents from my arctic fox) since I'm relying on muscle memory for the bind. Too much up or down means I don't hit the Cash Out button. Sometimes I can fix it by pressing my bind around, but sometimes I have to personally go back to my PC. It's not hard to do, just painfully boring so I do something else while grinding. Yes, because since I'm not moving at all, I'm tagged as AFK in the server. Also, I don't do it straight all 3 hours, sometimes I pause or in some cases fall asleep and just stop doing it altogether.

I understand it's hard to believe. If it helps, I do this too with fishing, only without the bind part: set up my solo dupe, point my view where the bobber is, and then it's all sound cues from there. Left click to fish, right click to reel, E (mouse4) just in case it's not a fish. I've died twice to a Thomas because I couldn't see what I was collecting. The second time, I was even able to make it to my PC before it exploded and typed something in ooc about fishing up a thomas. It's not proof of anything, but it shows I'm the one doing this remotely and not a macro.

I'm just going to respond with my side of the story. A person in OOC asked and I'm paraphrasing "is macroing the double or nothing machines allowed". I then responded with no because under Misc. Rules: "Macros/external programs/scripts are not allowed". I take these accusations seriously because they result in a 6 month ban. Yeah this looks bad ngl, but I was relying on sound cues for all of this. I'll focus on the parts that kinda show it IS me and not a macro doing this. 3:47, I must've accidentally pressed my left click button; there's no need for left clicks in double or nothing, so it wouldn't be in a macro. 4:14 I got moved, and I was probably trying to readjust my aim with my bind, but after consecutively losing I gave up. 9:53, idk if it's relevant, but that's not too low to touch the machine; you can look just barely above the Cash Out button and it would still work; you can test this yourselves ingame. That's the only reason how I was able to make my bind work, because minimizing the up and down movement means it's more forgiving to errors. That position is around the same place I put my view before I go do whatever while grinding.

Yeah, because I set voice_enable to 0 AND turned off boomboxes. Sounds convenient, I know, but filtering through extra noise is annoying considering I'm also already watching something else

Like I said, I understand it looks bad. Right now, I'm stating my actions and my rationale in doing them in hopes I can convince you all I was doing this legitimately. I'm also trying to point out parts that go against the hypothesis of me macroing, e.g. my reply to Annex. It's not a lot, but I'm hoping those are enough to show that this was me doing it with my setup and not a macro

What you did was not acceptable, macroing and AFK farming is very clearly not allowed. But, I see where you are coming from with your explanation and while I don't think you should be unbanned, I am +1 for a time reduction on your ban.

Hey man, +lookup and +lookdown binds do not work in my experience (tested again today and still doesn't work). I suggest some staff also try binding buttons to do it but to me it looks like a lie and you were using something else to look up and down while afk.

I'm pretty sure exploiting or using 3rd party programs (macros not hacks i mean xd) is normally a 1 week - 1 month idk how this is a 6 month

i also do this and i have now had my use key on mouse5 for over a year and a half due to how useful it is for semi-afking things such as fishing with +attack and +reload (people assume i macro it) and just freeing a finger while playing/raiding. You can do alot of stuff on the server using mouse-only so I completely agree that what you are doing is entirely possible - that being said im not sure how you managed to bind your mouse4 alone to look up and look down by default.

+lookup and +lookdown work if you change your cl_mouselook to 0 before connecting, however im curious how you multibinded your mouse4 key to +lookup -lookup +use +use +lookdown -lookdown +use.
The 'wait' command is not in gmod, so multipurposing 1 key to do all of those functions with the delays you've said you have is just not possible.


Original thought was that you were macroing, until I decided to rewatch the clip and just test stuff myself as professional mouseonly fisher:
Edit: Only thing I don't understand is that you're working purely off of audio but you hear staff physgunning you, you hear people spamming gondolas, and you hear you no longer gambling for whatever reason, so im just curious 1) what were you doing on your 2nd monitor, were you even at your pc, and 2) why did u not react when you STOPPED gambling?

Using my entire mouse and not just 1 key, I can recreate this very easily, and believe he is not using a macro as in the clip provided you can see he gets 2x, then looks down, waits for the audible sound for it to go to cash out mode, then cashes out and continues, you can see that whenever he is on 1x and goes to 0, he keeps playing, whereas if he was using a macro it would press E 2x and then try and cashout and repeat, playing completely via mouse and audio alone is very possible.

I do not believe he is using a macro and think what he is saying is true (except for it all being binded to mouse4 but i think he just didnt mention the other stuff), I also think this leaderboard needs to get removed because it is pure afk simulator, along with the other gambling one also being removed, as both are just who afks longest.

In the clip, after setting up my binds and my first double or nothing, I turned completely away from my monitor, sure there are some times where I look down not far enough waiting for the sound then have to look down further, but im sure if you're doing this for a while and learn it or with a lower pitchspeed you could perfect this super easily - this was my 2nd attempt and i look up way further than i need to, so i dont doubt that if u were to do this for more than 10mins u'd realise oh i only have to look up a tiny bit not halfway up the machine (its only a tiny bit above the cashout to go back to double or nothing). I can now recreate it exactly how bread was doing it in the clip, and think he is innocent.

+1 for full unban and +1 for removal of both double or nothing leaderboards
