Insurance agent

mass rdm, spawned an entity in a group of players with the intention of hacking it to kill the players. I reported him in game and he claimed the sit and said he was told he was allowed to do that. I said, if he can prove that a higher up told him that, id understand and not worry about it. That didnt happen.

Do you have evidence related to this incident?:

No

some point in time in the last week or so me and another staff member witnessed someone doing this seemed it was alright at the time, cant remember who it was so not going to try to justify it with that. i took it as part of the hacker job if i had the option to detonate a money pot in the same sense you can hack a mailbox to randomly blow someone up, its not allowed heo clarified and i didnt realize that at the time. completly accept any punishment deemed fit by staff. was a dumb on my part.

I always assumed it was to be treated the same way as a train bomb is, and never enforced a mass rdm ban or warn upon anyone that did such (and my god have I seen a lot of them over the years.) A lot of the hacker options you can choose do involve just murdering people, whether it be the mayor using the panel in his office, at a mailbox, or in this case, with the money pot. Quite frankly, I always thought that these should be removed, as they serve no purpose other than rdm, and assumed that was their literal intention. With all this in mind, I'm -1 for a ban/demotion, but +1 for a warn, verbal or otherwise.

Also please don’t try to make it look like I told you I was right and sent you on your way. I was actively checking with heo in staff chat and was completely cordial stating that I would like clarification on it aswell. I said from my understanding it was allowed but I honestly could not remember who was on with me when I first witnessed it being done.

Hello, This is a report against a moderator by the way, someone who has to set a standard of abiding rules, if any user were to do this ingame they would be banned for a whole week, and the reported staff member knew EXACTLY what he was doing, The last time i was a staff member i got banned for a week AND got demoted for inciting a player to mass rdm with a sbc cannon, and i do believe we should keep things fair in this server

If i were a staff member i would +1 this for demotion & week ban

Goatnuts brings a fair point but if another staff member made it out that this was ok then I do not believe a demotion should happen to insurance. This was a pretty blatant attempt at mass killing, and he damaged at least 6 people that we know of just from the video - killing 5 and damage willhelm at minimum.

I do feel like it should be common sense that randomly killing 5 people like that is mass rdm and definitely not okay tho tbh. I understand its part of the hacker ability but thats an ability to be used with caution - like using an sbc cannon

If it was accidental I'd be more lenient but this really does just come off as blatantly rdming for shits and giggles

In most cases this is not mass rdm because he’s using a game mechanic for its intended purpose. Same way that spawning a train on someone is not considered mass rdm. In this case though, it seems like he is intentionally spawning the box in order to mass rdm which would fall under the “loopholing” rule separately.

“DO NOT attempt to loophole any rules. Just because something isn’t written down, doesn’t make it okay. The staff has the final say in sits, if you disagree then you should appeal the decision on the forums, not in-game.”
