I was dealing with a group of MRDMers, sorry if I got confused at first. 2 other citizens (same job as you) were on and actively mass rdming.

You are making such a huge deal about me making a mistake with what I said when I FIRST teleported you and another real mass RDMer. You are acting like you were actually banned for mass rdm, when in fact you only got a warning for an RDM which you did commit. I admitted during the sit that I was wrong and made a mistake after I checked the logs and spoke with you about it.

Just to clear something up, some of the staff are thinking the reason I warned him was because he killed the gun dealer in the video he posted.

The warning is actually for him killing the citizen standing behind the gun dealer (which is why it was crossfire, not IRDM)

Here's my take. 

 

It would upset me very much if I was pulled into a sit and accused of MRDM without a chance to explain myself. 

 

I believe the sit was handled poorly.

In my opinion, it was a clear RDM. As per the rules RDM is any unjustified killing of a player. I am stating this cause it is differentiated from IRDM which is INTENTIONAL RDM. That being said RDM can be an accidental kill such as a crossfire. I had not trouble watching the clips a few times each to get an idea on what exactly happened and to formulate what I believe should be done. My verdict on the situation is this, the sit itself was handled poorly but additionally the attitude towards "SHORESTONE!" was also very poor. He was just reporting an RDM that happened to him. I don't see why you are being toxic and hostile to him calling him an idiot. I get why you called toosii an idiot as he was handling the issue against you poorly. The toxicity in the sit is the main issue I have with it. I say a warn of some kind is justified in this instance whether it be a verbal or a real warn. The poor handling of the sit is what I am going to place the verdict on though. The poor handling is grounds for him to be talked to about it. If need be I will definitely be talking to him about how he handles his sits and how it could have been executed better.

 

In conclusion, I do not believe toosii should be punished but he does need a talking to about his sit technique. The sit was not handled well and could have been handled way better. For punishment such as demotion I am a -1 but for talking him over what could be done better and making sure he knows how to handles sits a bit better it is a +1 as him getting talked to/reprimanded for his poor execution of the sit.

After thinking on this for a couple of days, I definitely should have handled this sit better.

Part of the reason I warned you for the crossfire was because I felt you were toxic in the sit, but if I got teleported to a sit and the first thing told to me is I'm being banned for MRDM when I didn't, I would be pretty pissed off too.

I should have verified all of the facts regarding your kills before making any accusation like that, so I do apologize for doing that.

I also removed the RDM warn I gave you regarding the crossfire kill.

I definitely made some mistakes when handling this sit & I have learned from that though. Even when dealing with multiple people I believe to be RDMing, I will make sure to verify all of the facts before accusing them or taking any action.

Thank you toosi for owning up to your mistake. 

Remember when you are going to tell a player there gonna be banned for mrdm. Make sure That's exactly what's going on. Before you even tp them you should have already Checked your logs, spectate the “ mrdmer” and see if that's what's happening. Also please never lie about checking logs. If your going to accept a sit as staff you need to give that sit 110%.  Also be aware anyone would be angry about being accused of mrdm. You should remain calm and own up to the mistake say I'm sorry and Return. 

 

 

 

 @Wilhelm PanderinoI would like to apologize for  how the sit was mishandled.  You should not have been accused like that especially without Verifying everything. I will make sure to speak to toosi . 

 

Take this as a learning experience and let's make sure to double check before handing out bans
