  8. So here's the thing. Warns are already being discussed on being voided after a year or two. They will still be there but they will not be counted as an actual warn. Yes, there will be bad eggs, that's just a fact, but if you ACTUALLY obtain 15 warns then you clearly need to study the motd more, ask about things you aren't sure of, etc. I think an automated ban for getting 1 warn but you had 14 warns from 2017 is stupid. I can agree on that, but if you need 15 reminders to follow the rules within a reasonable time period, then you totally deserve a week off. There are flaws with this system, as there tends to be with any sort of punishment system, so thats why in the MOTD we highly encourage users to record/gather any sort of evidence when they can. Higher ups aren't all seeing, as crazy as that sounds. We won't notice bad staff unless we are seeing reports/recieving complaints about staff. (Unless we see it ourselves) It is important that if you receive any punishment you feel is unjustified that you report it. That way it can start a discussion on whether or not the punishment is valid. Some people refuse to report things that aren't the biggest deal because they don't want to be petty, but it is so important to bring it to our attention if you genuinely feel you were punished incorrectly. That is your responsibility as a user on the server If you have some ideas on a system that would be superior than the current system, I'd like to hear them. Me personally, I value education over punishment, especially when it comes to things done against me, and i stress the same to all of the staff I have trained, if they don't uphold that then it is an issue and must be brought to our attention
  9. <----- player since beginning of 2019 has 2 bans and 8 warns
  10. March 17, 2021 DO trade at your own discretion and do your research. Being scammed 1 Mil or more DakrRP cash or any amount of IRL money or Suga Dollars is subject to review and punishment. Ask for a staff witness if you are unsure of a transaction --> DO trade at your own discretion and do your research. Being scammed 1 Mil or more DarkRP cash or any amount of Suga Dollars is subject to review and punishment. Make sure to use !trade to verify the legitimacy of any transaction. (Removed IRL money and asking for staff witnesses since trading/selling IRL money is not allowed and !trade serves as evidence for trade scamming.) DO listen to staff. Even if something isn't explicitly mentioned in the MOTD, does not mean it's okay. --> DO listen to staff. Even if something isn't explicitly mentioned in the MOTD, does not mean it's okay. If you have an issue with a staff ruling, take it up on the forums instead of in-game. (Encourages users to make a report instead of ingame.) Added DO warn users either 3 times in /advert, or once using the E menu giving at least 3 seconds before defending yourself to the general rules section. (Clarification on a system as old as time.) DO NOT advert / talk / display anything about selling or buying things in game for currencies other than DarkRP, in game items or Sugar Dollars --> DO NOT advertise or participate in any trades on the server or our platforms that involve trading anything outside of our server for any currency on our server (ex: Steam game or PayPal for DarkRP cash, Sugar Dollars, or in-game items) (This provides complete clarity on this rule to avoid any confusion) DO NOT attempt to loophole any rules. --> DO NOT attempt to loophole any rules. Just because something isn’t written down, doesn’t make it okay. Staff have the final say in sits, if you disagree then you must appeal the decision on the forums, not in-game. DO NOT counter actions before getting involved. --> DO NOT counter actions before getting involved. Ex: Attacking a cop before he knows that you’re associated with the person he is arresting. The cop should know you’re together to prevent confusion. (Giving an example here gives more clarity to what this rule actually means.) Added DO NOT counter actions that you are not involved with. Ex: Killing a cop for cuffing someone or killing raiders without having any intent to take over their raid. (This is more clarification into this rule) DO NOT switch jobs during a raid or other RP interaction. --> DO NOT switch jobs during a raid or other RP interaction. If you switch jobs in a raid for example, the RP situation is over instantly and you must stop. (Just more clarification.) Removed DO NOT call staff for a single RDM, go talk to the person who killed you or ask in OOC why they killed you. Added DO try to talk to the person who RDM’d you before calling a sit (This made it seem like you shouldnt call sits for a single RDM, and caused confusion on whether a single rdm sit should be taken.) Removed DO NOT call staff for general questions, ask people in OOC or the forums (Staff should be there to help a user for general questions, and sometimes there are just things you don't really want to ask in ooc or the forums.) DO NOT Use Boomboxes to play ear-rape or racial slurs/racist content --> DO NOT Use Boomboxes to play ear-rape/racial slurs/racist content or overly-sexual content (This is to clarify that we don't allow overly sexual content on boomboxes.) Moved DO NOT abuse your VIP rank, this includes false votebanning/kicking, and calling votebans and votekicks while staff members are online. Abuse can result in your VIP being revoked. to general rules. Added CNTAP: Change name to avoid punishment to Terminology Added CNTAP: John kills Billy for no reason, and changes his name to avoid being caught by the staff team. to Terminology Added I (RDM/RDA): Intentional (RDM/RDA) to Terminology (These are things that players frequently dont know the meaning of, this solves that issue.) Added Max Bank Heist Time: 20 minutes. (This was done to let users completely use their bank c4's that last 15 minutes. The other 5 minutes is given as a sort of "grace period" to grab everything and get out.) Edited a few grammar mistakes as well.
  11. Since clarification is never really a bad thing i think adding this to @Doge Skeletor's motd suggestion doc we've been working on is a good start.
  12. movement sweps, or switch to king, make propclimb allowed, and propclimb high enough.
  13. a ceiling would be fine, I believe the barrier is a square, and finite, so finding the end might be tricky but if you do go for it
  14. if you cant place a prop, dont, for now.
  15. Blue.

    nvm

    ok
  16. I disagree with this sentiment, I am known for the fact that I intentionally avoid cliques, friend groups, etc, and not once have I really felt my opinion didn't matter too much, however if you have a stupid opinion, don't expect to have people backing you up on it. It's all about how you approach something, and expressing your concerns if you feel left out. If you don't make sure your voice is heard, then it might be harder to hear it. The name McStubbins or Assaulter literally means squat in terms of how you are treated in the staff team, diddly squat. This has been something I have experienced on many many occasions over my staffing career, but if you don't actively push for change, or for help, then the best thing to do would literally hop off, and bring it up with higher ups. Change only happens when its pushed for, this is the way of life. I get where you are coming from, I do, but I hope you get where I'm coming from as well. Can you provide some evidence of this actually happening at all? No one should be suppressed with their opinions at all, new player baby tag or not. There are ways to approach things, shouting it at the top of a rooftop is not always the proper approach. We have ways of doing things, that are frequently down right ignored. The way things are worded matter too, if someone just goes STAFF TEAM BIASED, SHITTERS RUN THE SERVER!!! then why would you expect anything to happen from that? Bias is not acceptable, so again, if you have some evidence of this, going through the proper channels is the only way to start finding a solution. If you feel a staff member is being biased, you need to prove it. Baseless claims do nothing. As for staff getting away with things, when they are caught, they are slammed. It's that simple, if there is no solid evidence, nothing can be done. If you want change, you need to push for it, again. There is also a huge difference between kissing someones ass, and giving someone the respect you would want to be treated with yourself. Dude in the end, what this really comes down to, is baseless claims. We can't do jack shit on baseless claims, these claims need substance, and yes, it's often times difficult to acquire, but if you feel there are genuine issues, you need to be able to support these claims, thats really all it comes down to. We all want to better the server, the community, and the staff team, but it's not something that can be done on he said she said type shit, y'know?
  17. nuts, balls even, testicles perhaps.

  18. It wouldn't be overpriced if the time inbetween hits was increased by a large sum, which it should be.
  19. which is included, precious life is like the only truly valuable pvp talent
  20. Imagine thinking PVP talents are anything but shit
  21. increase payout, increase time inbetween being able to make hits, make it a liveable sum of money, but make it to where you can't farm the shit out of it. Ideally hitmen should be able to RP only taking hits to make their money if they want, it would bring a little more depth to the jobs if you could do that.
  22. Terrorist CC. 'nuff said
  23. 5000*, which is still pocket change. I think it should go upwards of like 50-100k. Hits aren't supposed to be cheap, peasants don't hire assassins.
