Ok, I'm sorry dude but what the actual fuck is this post? Are you new to garrys mod, or dark RP? Are you used to super strict uptight servers where nobody can step out of line at all without getting banned? Were you perhaps on hard drugs at the time of making this incoherent, damn near schizophrenic post? You're right - the server is filled with angry, obsessive, and mean people who will do anything they can to get anyone they don't like in trouble. This is a part of the very foundation of the gmod community. The more relaxed the toxicity/community rules - the more this kind of shit happens. It's DarkRP. For 1, ideally staff should ALWAYS be keeping in mind what the intent of a sitcallers sit is for, and if its vindictive or petty. We should not be encouraging these types of sits, nor should we be giving these kinds of people what they want, unless the situation is severe. - This is a problem that has been around since the dawn of the server, and the dawn of DarkRP in general. That doesn't excuse using the Hard R in public. Keep that shit in private calls/dms/servers with consenting individuals. If you say it publicly you are REQUIRED to be punished for it. Thats just how it works. Staff probably shouldn't be calling you racist in ooc about it, it's gmod, the majority of gmodders say it privately. Instigating it is just petty, and kind of hypocritical, but you seem to be taking things WAY too seriously and WAYYY too personally. This is a video game, and a server that is EXTREMELY non-serious, and really quite lax on toxicity rules - but things like slurs are an insta punish nearly every time, unless its in !pm's or party chats with consenting individuals. If you say slurs publicly expect to get in a sit about it. If you don't want to get punished for it, don't be stupid and say it publicly or to non consenting individuals. It's extremely easy. I've never in the 6 years I've been around here said the hard R publicly on our platform. This is TitsRP, you either sink, or you swim. If you can't learn to ignore shit and not let shit get to you to such a concerning level, you won't survive. Mind you today's community has much more toxicity rules than say, 6-7 years ago. So honestly - either you need to adapt, or maybe you need to find something else to do. Not everyone can handle it, some people require intense regulation and coddling to enjoy themselves - that's fine, but that's not here. TLDR; Don't be dumb and say slurs in public, don't break the rules, or do your best not to, and if you think you got falsely punished, or someone is making a sit purely to be vindictive and a cunt - communicate about it. If the staff member in the sit doesn't care about your concerns, take it to the forums or a higher up. Though if you want to be taken seriously - just ease up on the schizoposting, simplify your posts, and make your claims/concerns simple and concise. Smoke some weed or something dude. -
Is done!

March 1st Changelog Staff members should not take sits regarding themselves unless there is absolutely no other staff online. If you are the only staff online, recommend the player to make a report on the forums unless they don't mind if you take your own sit. Trying to bribe players if you broke a rule will result in punishment up to demotion. When a staff member takes their own sits, it usually results in the player claiming you are biased and will result in a forums report regardless of the outcome of your sit. Just don't do it unless you absolutely have no other option and the player refuses to make a report on the forums. ---> Staff members should not take sits made against themselves unless there is absolutely no other staff online. Staff members may take sits where they are the victim, but will be expected to be able to back up all claims with sufficient evidence, and are not to punish for their own sits unless it is a Severe Offense, or an Admin gives you permission to punish. Most light offenses should be shrugged off, and left at a scolding/education unless repeated. Situations that became server-wide issues or affect other players can still be punished for. Staff are required to prioritize education over punishment in their own situations more than they may otherwise in other situations. You can't be accused of bias if you are even more lenient than you would normally be.

March 1st Changelog: DO ignore sits with the ignore button if it does not follow the "Sit Guidelines" unless you want to take it (don’t take sits that are toxic/rude or break rules (ex:racial slurs in a ticket)) ---> DO ignore sits with the ignore button if it does not follow the Rules or Sit Guidelines unless it is to be taken for educational purposes or to refund a player. (don’t take sits that are toxic/overly offensive or vulgar)

March 1st Changelog Added to Staff Tips: Make sure you do not continue sits/staff situations for light offenses if the person making the sit is doing it out of spite or revenge, or just trying to mess with/troll the reported person(s). We are not weapons to be used to get people in trouble. Do not play those games with people, and do not let yourself be used for beef, trolling, or revenge. Light Offenses are generally anything not listed under Serious Offenses, though there are exceptions as needed based on staff discretion of the situation. Serious Offenses are Mass Offenses(3+)/Exploiting/Cheating/Extreme Toxicity/Racism/Homophobia/Transphobia/Antisemitism/Scamming/FDA in a raid/Repeated Priors/Player Toxicity/Illegal Threats or Discussions or Accusations/NLR if it can not be handled in RP or in game/Staff Rule Breaks/Other things that can hold harsh consequences. Before claiming a sit or responding to a report, ask yourself if the situation is going to warrant any actual punishment. Just because a sit or report is made doesn't mean something MUST be done about it. If the sit is not for a serious offense, or the offender doesn't have a lot of priors or recent priors, then just note it down and end the sit. If a report does not follow the guidelines for reporting in our Forum Rules section of the Rules, then it should be denied.

March 1st Changelog Add to Forums Rules under Ban Appeals/Player Reports • Only fill out reports for serious offenses like Mass Offenses(3+)/Exploiting/Cheating/Extreme Toxicity/Racism/Homophobia/Transphobia/Anti-Semitism/Scamming/FDA in a raid/Repeated Priors/Player Toxicity/Illegal Threats or Discussions or Accusations/NLR if it can not be handled in RP or in game/Staff Rule Breaks/Other things that can hold harsh consequences. There may be exceptions in allowing lighter offenses as reports if it is deemed necessary. If a report is deemed to not fit into this category it will be instantly denied. • Overall Staff discretion will decide what is and isn't considered a light or serious offense when it comes to reports, and will be handled on a case-by-case basis based on severity of the situation, motives, or intentions of the reporters/victims/offenders.

[Changelog] For the DarkRP Server RULES
Blue. replied to TitsRP's topic in Announcements / Changelogs
March 1st Changelog Changed in General Rules DO's DO report rule breakers on the forums ---> DO report serious rule breakers or staff breaking the rules on the forums DO call for staff if you see someone breaking the rules ---> DO try to call for staff if you see someone breaking the rules repeatedly against you. Most of the time a single RDM/NLR/RDA is not worth making a sit over. DO try to talk to the person who RDM’d you before calling a sit ---> DO try to handle light rule breaks with chat/voice chat or vote demotes before calling for staff. Added in General Rules DO NOT's DO NOT report light offenses on the forums. Handle these ingame with staff, or votes if there are no staff. Reports on the forums should be used for serious offenses. (See Forums Rules section for examples of a serious offtense.) DO NOT attempt to use sits/tickets/reports or staff as revenge or for spiteful/petty reasons against others. Your sit will be cancelled for light offenses if staff deems this to be the case. DO NOT alt while banned, you will get your alt permanently banned and your main account will recieve double it's original ban time. Added to Examples of a BAD Player: •Calling staff to get someone in trouble out of spite/revenge or for an ulterior motive. Add to Forums Rules under Ban Appeals/Player Reports • Only fill out reports for serious offenses like Mass Offenses(3+)/Exploiting/Cheating/Extreme Toxicity/Racism/Homophobia/Transphobia/Anti-Semitism/Scamming/FDA in a raid/Repeated Priors/Player Toxicity/Illegal Threats or Discussions or Accusations/Staff Rule Breaks/Other things that can hold harsh consequences. -
A classic case of staff being misinformed.

[Changelog] For the DarkRP Server RULES
Blue. replied to TitsRP's topic in Announcements / Changelogs
February 19th Changelog Cop Rules You may not make any sort of competency tests/message or mail requirement for cops/players. You may only fire cops for valid RP reasons. You may make a law calling for a "radio check" via /g chat, !pm, or !mail with a minimum of 2 minutes time to respond with any message from the point of the law being added or the player switching to a cop job. You may not require that the officer says a specific phrase not to be fired. ---> Mayors can fire cops for roleplay reasons, but cannot create tests, special phrases, radio checks, or rolecalls to keep people out of the job. Moved "All CPs have two minutes to radio check in /g chat with any message, or they will be fired for negligence." from GOOD laws into BAD laws -

[Changelog] For the DarkRP Server RULES
Blue. replied to TitsRP's topic in Announcements / Changelogs
December 9th Changelog Added rule to Ban Appeals / Player Reports section of the forums rules: Do not make appeals or reports on an alt account, you MUST post on your main, or contact staff privately with your main, otherwise the appeal or report will be automatically denied. -
December 9th changelog If a player is caught alting to avoid punishment, the proper punishment is to double the original ban time (up to 6mo) and apply it to both the main and alt account. Alting while not banned is allowed, however punishments on the alt will be given to the main as well. ----> Alting to avoid getting punished on your main, or using alts to cause any drama/problems for the community/staff team will result in said alts being permanently banned with no chance of appeal. These permanent bans require Admin approval beforehand. Any normal punishment given to an alt will also be given to the main - minus the permanent ban for causing issues. Alting while banned will result in a permanent ban for the alt and the main accounts punishment doubled up to 6mo (or more in rare/extreme circumstances.)

Why would you self insert yourself into a situation/response that wasn't calling out anyone in specific or making any accusations to anyone in specific? Is it not a good idea to avoid any drama or instigation? What I asked was a suggestion for anyone who might be causing drama, or looking for ways to instigate/cause issues. If you are not causing any issues piklas, then you need not fret or consider yourself a part of anything. If you're just here to have fun then awesome, me too!!!

You're allowed to do things like RDM your friends or people that are fine with it/want to fight
