Why were you banned or warned?

I was banned by the console for hitting 15 warnings.

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

Because 3 of my warns are false, and I don't believe those should count towards a two week ban. (the staff who gave me those warns openly admitted that they were false and that he wanted to falseban/warn me, and has also been banned for 6 months)

First off, I would like to say I am sorry for the way I acted, I was not thinking properly and in the moment I was not listening to BOT sittoandmori's orders. I did not read the situation properly either, I thought we were initially joking around slightly, and when I realized things were serious during the sit I started asking what rule I had broken. I did not realize names were reserved for players despite the player deliberately changing his name to something completely different. Terry is a common name in the US/Canada and I don't see how that name could be reserved for one specific player who goes by that name, and I am sorry for not understanding. I definitely could've acted better and more mature during the sit, but it seems I was warned for "stealing names" which isn't a rule (aside from staff impersonation). I would also like to mention that Terry changed his name to something else, so I used the name Terry since it was no longer taken, and I do not see a problem with that. But again, I totally could've acted better and followed BOT sittoandmori's orders, but I thought he would've just done the "freerpname" command, and I was also in the midst of asking questions while I was warned. 

Now about the 3 warns Spys gave me, I believe they are all false (this can somewhat be proven if we look at the fact that he gave me false harassment warns and multiple day bans which were appealed). Spys has said very horrible things to me both in OOC and in PMs, even after his 2 week ban when he came on I was trying to be nice and as respectful as possible to him only to be met with horrible messages towards me (see in evidence category down below). I think these warns should be revoked.

Spys has openly admitted to false banning/warning me (which I only have one screenshot of). But even without the screenshots I feel like these warns should be removed due to the fact that Spys was a biased moderator who clearly had something against me and false banned/warned me multiple times, and would constantly say horrible things to me and cherrypick what he could get me in trouble for during sits.

TLDR: Spys is permanently banned from the staff team, harassed multiple people, leaked staff chat multiple times, had no intention to be a good moderator, was extremely biased and said horrible things both in OOC to me and other players, and in PMs. He openly admitted to false banning and warning me, which I have proof of and would deliberately try to get me warned/banned.

You didn’t misread the situation I pmed you multiple times asking for the name back. All of which you ignored or said “sorry I’m not fingered”. After calling the sit you purposefully dragged the sit out for almost 15 minutes of us just asking you to change the name and you refusing.

Your warning was fully justified as the rules do say to comply with staff even if a rule isn’t explicitly written. All you had to do was change your username, but you instead wasted Sitto’s time for upwards of 15 minutes while he was the only staff online of a server with over 100 people. You would not have even received a verbal had you just changed your name. I understand that you believed there to be no rule or basis behind Sitto’s order, but the proper process would’ve been to make a report on him not to waste everyone involved’s time.

 

You were told that you’d receive a warning if you didn’t change your name, and you replied “I don’t care it’s worth it”. The reason you did this is because you didn’t realize you were one warn away from a one week ban. Actions have consequences beyond a little note on your profile.

 

Imo Sitto did nothing wrong here, and besides, I am the one that told him to go ahead and warn you over discord dms. I didn’t realize at the time that tmods had access to /changerpname, but I’d be willing to bet that had he used it, you would’ve thought it would be funny to change your name to Terry again faster than the real Terry would be able to claim the name back.

 

Please stop acting like you are the only person on the server and deliberately wasting staff members’ time through various means such as non-compliance, votekicks/bans when we are online, spam pming staff to take your sits when they very clearly are busy, etc.

I will say though that the harassment warning and ban from Spys should probably be removed both because of that OOC message and because the player being harassed was himself.

 

His other warnings should not be removed as you’ve provided no evidence to prove they are false and you did not appeal within two weeks of receiving them.

I did not once say  “sorry I’m not fingered”, nor did I intentionally drag the sit out, half of the time I was reading !motd (there may be a clip of me typing that in), and the only reason why my mic was on was because I typed +voicerecord in console. Terry all you did throughout the sit was act like a dick, hence why I wasn't listening to you, I told you to be quiet multiple times because I couldn't even read one message without seeing one of yours pop up. Of course the name change was worth it, it wasn't his name anymore and I took the opportunity to change mine to that, because I don't believe names are reserved for people who intentionally change their name to something else. If I had previous names and someone used them I wouldn't be mad.

Fingerer if I can be honest with you, that sit was hell. I begged you to change your name and told you that I didn't want to warn you, but in the end you forced my hand since you just didn't seem to care and weren't complying at all. My guess is you believed warns didn't matter at all, but actions have consequences so you got autobanned by the console. I had also asked Blacnova if I was allowed to warn you for it, just to be sure, and he gave me the green light.

 

This isn't your first time acting like this, you're known for wasting staff's time and I think you care about this warn just because it got you banned, so it's a -1 for me. Take this time to better yourself.

Especially with him outright stating it proudly - yea this is pretty reasonable. Everything else would need to be appealed through the proper means. Unless you can get spys to just outright admit all of it was intentionally done out of bias and corruption.



As for the whole name changing thing - If someone is KNOWN by a name for example, I am Blue, I will always be Blue. Blacnova will always be Blacnova, Rubik will always be Rubik, and Terry will always be Terry. People can change their names on occasion for jokes or whatever, that doesn't mean their name is free. Now, if a player was to be inactive for longer than 6 months, some names can be freed up. If that player were to come back though, that name would no longer be free unless said player doesn't want the name anymore. It's not a rule or written rule because its common decency and common sense tbh. If you had asked terry if you could take the name and for some reason he said yes, then it would be acceptable. Not every single name is perma claimed, but if the person who originally owned that name, and was known by that name, wants their name back then it's fair. 

Not everything will be spelled out for you or cover every possible scenario for you. The rules provide structure, and just about anything not directly written is handled via staff discretion and common sense. 

Obviously you shouldn't take terry's name just because he swapped it for a moment. This sit, and the behavior in this report gives me the feeling you are intentionally trying to cause issues to get one up on terry by doing what you did, and trying to pass it off as "oh i didn't know and its not written down therefore its ok!!"
