The zombie event was added to cause chaos during the Halloween season. That's pretty much it. They don't do any damage to you and being "infected" does not cause any harm in terms of health/armor/speed/etc. The point is to infect as many people as you can. You get XP, cash, and a chance at a pet or chat-tag for each person you infect. The player with the most infections will get a lootbox. Because they don't do any damage or have any negative effect on you besides making you walk funny, there's really no justification for killing them. This is not a purge event and it was never intended to be one.

whatever type of event it is there should be set rules for it. kinda gay when the outbreak hits and you're getting chased down the street with no recourse to not get infected. or when you're chilling and your base gets invaded by a bunch of zombies. seems like a pretty one sided event.

If the zombie event is such a huge issue that it negatively affects your time on the server, I can remove it or make it a special thing for staff to initiate at the player's request.

No reason for that all we need is something with full clarification on the zombie event listed in the MOTD. Maybe it's smart to make a Special Events section in the MOTD so reports and posts like these don't happen in the future. The event is amazing and always has been it's just with a rule bound server like DarkRP you need to have everything listed rather than just word of mouth. This is something I should've taken care of as my time as Admin.

what are the rules for the zombie infection event?

zombies are not KOS, but apparently you aren't allowed to shoot them at ALL? even if they are chasing you down and swinging at you, trying to turn you into a zombie?

some clarification would be dope.

this is retarded

just set a base in fountain with a single moneymaking ent on the back (and maybe a KOS sign) so when zombie events starts you just run in there and BLAST anyone who dares get in like i do!!!! be it zombie or not, watch out for the mass nlring cops tho!

Yay! More to read for something that only lasts ~30 days out of 365!

"Oh I'm infected time to raid!" = Hey let me be a retard and try to loophole the rule of zombies not being allowed to kill.

Anyone who thinks they're going to loophole the rule of that is dumb. And if they try and fail then make a sit? I'm going to call them dumb in the sit. The rules are simple guys. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand this.

Hi guys.

Being a zombie is a good thing
Free jump swep that once infecting someone else has a very small chance to give you a hyper-rare pet/chat tag!
Zombies still follow regular RP rules, there's no downside/damage dealt as being a zombie, that's like killing the Preacher for cleansing you of your sins, or the hazmat dude scanning you.

If it's causing this many issues, Rubik will simply just remove it, because if it IS KOS, Then new timmy who just hopped on and got infected is now getting mercilessly brutally murdered, very good first impression.
Not to mention it's just 4-5 minutes of pure RDM that you can't avoid because your fuckass got infected and you have Sweaty mc-cholestoral killing them for sport.
