Isn't it a default rule that you can kill anybody that tries to attack you? Even if they miss their shot, they're kos if they attempt right? Why is this one specific thing exempt from that lmao

why not when the mayor robs you with taxes, or the preacher when he robs you to cleanse your sins, or the hazmat dude assaulting you to scan you for corona.
makes no sense, it does nothing, and gives you a temp jumpswep

Zombies will not be changed and it will continue to be considered RDM to attack them. Do not kill them for trying to infect you as it does not affect you in a way that has been deemed to be valid to kill.

It's good that there is a solid answer to this, but I don't get how anyone who doesn't visit forums/discord is going to get this memo. If I was a new player on the server and saw a dramatic zombie outbreak taking place I would for sure be killing all of them. I feel like this must be a headache for the staff team

The event was added to cause chaos but zombies don't do any damage so why would they be KOS? There's really no incentive to kill them. The goal is to get infected as fast as possible and infect as many people as you can. (you can infect yourself by smashing a pumpkin). The goal of the event is to earn XP, cash, and potentially a lootbox for infecting other players, you get absolutely nothing for killing them. If you want to kill them, I can have it do damage so it's justified but there's really no reason not to participate unless you're in your base or something which is totally cool too. I added a chance to get a pet and chat tag and increased the rewards by 4x for infecting players.
