staff report on kkstoner and f_ for believing themselves to be above the message of the day since they are staff

Who are you reporting?:

KKstoner [Moderator] , F_ [Admin]

Why are you reporting this player?:

i was playing pissed pig doing my quest and i noticed that a moderator (KKstoner) was playing music over his mic as his cc as he killed me. i don't find this fair since in the message of the day it says the following:

You may NOT micspam overly sexual content, noises intended to hurt users ears(Loud music does not fall under this category), or racist/extremely hateful content.
You may micspam anything as a Hobo class as long as it isn't listed as not allowed. You also may micspam as any other job if the audio played is related to the jobs/models RP. If the audio played is deemed not to be RP related and you are just looking for a way to micspam something stupid as a non hobo then you will be asked to stop. (Good examples: Playing the jaws theme as a shark, pig noises as a pig, or combine chatter as a combine soldier) (Bad example: Micspamming loud music as the job "Ear doctor" to check if everyones ears work properly)

i made a sit about it and agro took my sit. i waited patiently for kkstoner to arrive and he never even came to the sit since mods can't tp other mods (agro asked him to come and i guess he refused to even talk to me, i also asked in ooc and i was ignored before i made the ticket so i tried to solve this in rp). kkstoner seems to think that because he is mod he gets to avoid sits abusing his power of not letting the other staff bring you dodging the message of the day. he never even came to talk to me about this. all he has to do is just switch to hobo to micspam like everyone else. any other player who wasn't staff, or was a competent incorruptible staff (like my brother Joey Skylynx) would just come to the sit instead of just not coming. i was told by agro to make another sit if he does it again. i get kkstoner as a target for master stalker and he is still micspamming this time but now he is loopholing. f_ instantly takes my sit and says that he is allowed to since he is "in a base just chilling" loopholing the rule. i still have to interact with him to do master stalker xp and he is micspamming. i'd like this investigated and dealt with. kkstoner is especially unfit for his role since he thinks he is above coming to a sit even if it is for a minor reason. all he would have to do is just swap to hobo. not that hard to just follow the message of the day especially when you are moderator. mods are not above the message of the day. as for f_ i really do not appreciate an admin of all people saying a moderator is allowed to just do whatever he wants even when they are expected to enforce and represent the message of the day. this should also be investigated and perhaps consider his role as admin. not professional.

Do you have evidence related to this incident?:

Yes

i made an error

KKStoner was told to stop micspamming multiple times, one time being my me in voice and making a ticket due to my 2/@ not working, 2nd time after he was reported, and then a 3rd time when he was still micspamming and got reported again.

If this were a normal person and not staff he would've gotten a verbal or a warn if he was already talked too (if he has priors), No?

My entire point is KKStoner was just not listening when told to stop and trying to loophole the rule as staff.

As for F__, I think he could've handled the situation better rather then setting the example that you're just allowed to micspam as non hobo.

+1 for some form of punishment (Ex: Verbal if he has no priors, and a normal warn if he does) and strike.

Agro is right, I should've handled this better than to just allow KK to keep mic spamming on his own on the other side of the map. I had told KK a few times in staff chat to either stop mic spamming or change job to hobo.

Considering the time of the event being a few hours before reset and just after a crash and less than 30 players on I generally am a lot more lenient towards everyone during this time as the server is empty and if someone wants to just chill out and mic spam on the other side of the map alone I will generally let them as it doesn't effect anyone, but in this case it effected Jake who made a report and KK should've stopped at that point (which is did after the second report and my ignoring of said report).

The rule is still you're not allowed to mic spam as non hobo and there's no idea of changing that anytime soon but if someone is breaking a minor rule that effects no one I'm not going to be the one to stomp on their parade and enforce the rule, this has always been my stance towards these rules because at the end of the day this is a game and you're supposed to have fun in games.

I'm not sure that the micspam is even the actual issue here, its ignoring other players and staff, and not stopping when being asked to. If kk were non-staff, this would have just ended simply by being muted. The real issue here is doing this as staff knowing that you wont just be muted so long as you just continue to ignore everyone, which is undeniably bad look for the entire staff team.

+1 for verbal for micspam, +1 for a staff strike for everything else about the situation

No matter what the rule is, they are placed there for a reason. If players must abide by the rules, so should staff members.

Accept and acknowledge the mistake and correct it , don't continue doing  it after being told to stop

I agree with Agro on the F situation, but I also agree with F's statements about being more lenient before the server reset

Overall +1 for punishment ( verbal/warn )

idc about the micspamming as much for a one off -  in my eyes the way that rule should be interpreted is if you're asked to stop then you stop, and only if you continue you should be punished.
KKStoner continued 2 more times after being told to stop, so it warrants an ingame punishment imo.

KKStoner refusing to teleport to the sit is the main issue and main part of this report (it is a report on their staff rank moreso than their ingame behaviour). Sure the sit can be petty, its still a valid report, and refusing to teleport to a sit on you is just abuse of your staff rank imo, and KKStoner being a previous smod should be well aware that refusing to tp to a sit on you solely because you're staff and can say 'no' is not allowed..

(yes i think micspam sits are petty, but it is a rule and refusing to stop is a rulebreak)

+1 for verbal for Micspam
+1 for Strike

Just to make it clear, you CAN micspam whatever you want on your CC, admins have done it, all ranks of staff have done it. It's not a problem and not even a verbal. When someone asks you to stop you are supposed to stop though. The first time asked to stop is not punishable in any form, but if continued after being told to stop, it is punishable.

If you're mic spamming on your CC around your friends, and no one cares, its fine. If someone wants to be the party pooper and tell them to stop, its fine.  As long as they stop at the time no ones going to get even a verbal.

KKstoner did not participate properly in the sit, evaded the sit, and continued to do so after being told to swap or stop. They should have stopped the very first time agro mentioned it.

+1 for a strike for ignoring the sit, +1 for a verbal education on how to micspam properly in the future.

This is a very complicated situation and KKstoner definitely did wrongdoing here and should have tped to staff when he was asked. However it does seem like he did stop directly bothering the player when asked and went off to his own base which does show me he did listen. I think that this was a case of mishandling from all sides as ___F probably should have done something during the second sit. While KKstoner definitely did make a mistake here I do not think it was with any ill intentions. For these reasons I will say +1 for a warn but also -1 for a strike as that seems harsh to me for the situation.

There are a few different valid reasons you might not respond to a call to a sit right away as staff, but it appears that this situation was ignored multiple times and rules continuously violated without care. I do understand that this particular rule could be seen as less significant to break, but it reflects poorly on us as staff if we are bending any rules to our favor. Ignoring a sit entirely is another step above that.

As for F____, I completely get the want to be lenient. It’s always preferable when possible, especially in times of lower activity when the community is generally more lax around certain things. That leniency towards the reported should be tempered by the mindset of the reporter though— Some people are willing to let bygones be bygones, but others aren’t. It seems like this was a repetitive thing that went ignored and I’m sure having their ticket ultimately dismissed as a final verdict was frustrating, since this is indeed a breach of the rules as written in our motd.

For F____:

-1 for any punishment.

For KKStoner:

+1 for some form of punishment (verbal/warn)

+1 for strike

He intentionally ignored a sit reporting him for a valid rule break and ignored a staff member when he tried to ask him to tp multiple times.

Chesmond and tene said everything i would have said there is no point in repeating it.

+1 for verbal for Micspam
+1 for Strike
