I have served 2 1/2 days of the 5 day ban. 

 

Why were you banned?: So.. It was late at night and there was 35 people on the server. And about... 7 or 8 people were all hanging out inside of the spawn building (The one that you can enter and be killed inside of) people were mic spamming whilst not hobo, not really rp'ing but just dancing and listening to music. We were all just messing around. Peanut however, was building what he called 'An admin room' inside of the same building and was saying that people should get out of his way, but no one really listened and we continued to have a good time - and I decided to place a makeshift timebomb in the middle of the room and advert my "Get away or you will die" advert. A lot of people ran into the bomb(Again, just having fun, not rping... CLEARLY), but Peanut was busy building and he got really pissed that he died to the bomb (Killing.. 7 or 8 people). He then banned me for 'Mass rdm' - Even though I adverted to flee - and didn't chase anyone with the bomb. (Honestly Peanut seemed mad that there was people in the room, so I thought I'd get people to leave - or die to help him out - kek) I understand that placing a timebomb in spawn is kind of rp'ing in spawn, and I also can't raid an 'Admin base', or a spawn building.. But I think it's pretty clear my intentions weren't to grief... and in my opinion Peanut didn't gage the situation correctly and banned me for 5 days because he was not in the right mood, or state of mind. I would've taken a warning for failrp, rp in spawn or whatever. But I mean.. you might as well ban everyone that shoots someone in spawn for mass rdm while your at it, because it damages armor. I wasn't going to appeal because Peanut is a good mod - and hopefully was just having a bad day (Seems to be the case due to his attitude) - well I guess we'll see if you guys can understand my perspective. Cheers.

 

Why should you be unbanned?: Well... I'm clearly not a minge, and my ban ends in 3 days or so, and i'd like to play again.. Sorry to the young men and women that I blew up with my bomb, but I prayed to Allah to vanish your sins because he is a good and just god, and I vow that I shall never place a makeshift timebomb again, unless it's in the name of Allah.

 

-Also Clearly not a minge, especially with 6 warns, that 3 of which I could argue are false..

Well you shouldn't be breaking rules when you're non-rping.You still killed him,if I was peanut I would of warned you if noone reported you for that.I don't know if other people reported you for MassRDM though.

 

I am giving this a 1+ to shorten the ban.If it turns out people reported you then it will become a -1.

Banning for 5 days for Mass rem is quite generous tbh but if it's true that you did it to get people to stop miging around i could see it being a shorter ban even though breaking rules could just have been reporter to a midnatt like peanut butter. I understand how throwing a timebomb as a joke can be fun you just gotta make sure that the people are slightly in on it.

Just because you adverted an advert that has no meaning to it in the MOTD doesnt mean it was allowed. He was trying to build, and you killed him. Now if everyone else was messing around too, I would say a shortened ban for one RDM because of this.

You killed multiple Staff in a Staff Area, and we had a discussion and a vote in adminchat whether or not you should be banned at all, and then if it should be reduced and well, I'm sure you can guess what we decided. If I did have any attitude, it was in general and not directed at you. The issue is that no one in there was invited to be there except for Pennywise, who had been helping me build, and other Staff who are allowed by default since it's a Staff Area. The fact that people were partying and acting crazy or whatever has nothing to do with me. I told everyone multiple times to stop and that whoever minged would be punished. The main problem I had was people running back and forth through my portal while it was still being designed. It's super hard to focus on creating something when people are in your way like that. But no rules were being broken. Also, you are Tact, you can't say you are not a minge. if I hadn't banned you for the Mass RDM I would have at the very least kicked you for spamming smoke grenades and lagging us. I'm amazed you would even appeal Mass RDM when we already reduced it for you to its minimum. How about you stay banned? Okay? okay. Learn the lesson, no free rides. Anyone else that did it would have been banned on the spot, no questions asked. You've been given enough special treatment.

 

Also, there is a rumor that someone who was on recently after your ban named "TicTact" is you. If it is, I suggest you stay off the server, because if I find out that it was you, I'll have the account permabanned.

TicTact is not me. Special treatment, eh? That's a laugh. I appealed because the ban was unnecessary, I don't care that you reduced the ban? I wasn't going to appeal SIMPLY because I liked you, and thought you were having a bad day. This is a recurring problem with staff - not being able to reference the breaking of rules, and the inability to acknowledge the flaws with the motd. I killed people in spawn - this in its own right, shouldn't be possible - so the flaw is that the safe zone isn't extended into that building - not that I killed people in it. So the lesson learned from this ban... is that you don't distribute equal punishment to those that damage people in spawn, and all shooting/damaging of anyone in spawn should result in bans for rdm/attempted rdm - or mass rdm in the case that they damage multiple peoples armor - so if you would like to ban people for killing people in spawn, support altering the motd - or better yet, disable the ability to damage peoples armor in the first place for that particular problem. I'm a minge - really now... Since joining this server I have gotten more kills than anyone else, and only have 6 total warns over 400+ hours and 4,000+ kills - I suggest fixes to the server - and my only interest is to see this server improve. Get a clue buddy. The environment was playful and people were messing around, you didn't punish those people mic spamming on their cc, you didn't punish those not leaving when you asked them, you let on that we were all messing around - and banned me for playing as well. I'm not saying that I should be able to bypass the rules - but try and see other peoples perspective. Also - I hope you see the irony of WANTING to permaban TicTact if it was me, IF It was - and It's not. Then that would make me someone very loyal to the server. Probably not the best way to treat loyalty.

None of that matters, that's a stupid excuse. You know how to report stuff if you have a problem with it. I didn't see anyone micspamming on a CC. one of the tmods was a hobo I know that much. Use your head. If it's not in the spawn boundary, it's not spawn. You know that damage can be done in the area so you can't say it's not your fault. You should know better. People doing mass damage in spawn DO get punished. Extending the spawn barrier is unnecessary and would make half the tunnel to residential a part of spawn. It doesn't matter how loyal you are and nobody gives a shit what your stats are. Alt-accounting to Ban Evade is forbidden and will have the alt permabanned and sometimes even the main account as well. Next time we just won't reduce your ban if you're gonna act like this when we try to help you. There is no mercy for Mass RDM. I will not unban you. And I highly doubt an Admin will take your side here. The kills disrupted everyone else and they didn't enjoy it nor allow it, Therefore it was not a joke. It was Mass RDM. I don't fucking care if you thought it was in good fun. You knew I was doing something and decided to blow me up without consent or a valid reason, therefore it is RDM. at least 2 other staff agreed. You would have been banned for no less than 3 days even if it was just me because you knew I was already getting frustrated before you did it.

 

Seriously get over yourself.

 

Half the server loves me right now but that doesn't give me the right to minge and Mass RDM, I would be banned too. Loyalty doesn't mean shit if you can't follow the rules.

EDIT: To clarify, the bit about half the server loving me is not a statement of ego and is likely an exaggeration. It was meant as an example that it doesn't matter who you are. Being impartial means that even if everyone loves you I will still punish you because it's not relevant to the case and therefore means nothing. and speaking of myself, everyone used to seem to hate me not not too long ago. I don't know why it switched up, but if I had to guess it would be that I treat people with respect and if I do fuck around, I know when to quit. Tact, however, noticing that I wanted the argument to end, brought it to my rep and -rep me removing 2 points, because before the ban he +rep me, simply because he is upset. The ban is not false and he needs to cut it out.
