Regardless no we are not adding a rule to prevent sensitive/controversial topics from being discussed. You can mute people who dont talk about things you don't like, or you can report someone if you think they are actually breaking a rule (e.g. calling trans people slurs, being hella racist, someone saying some outta pocket shit.) 

Aside from that we do want to try to respect everyones beliefs or opinions and let them rant about them - it only becomes an issue when it becomes heated/actually hateful or if it is causing spam in the chat. At that point we try to direct people to DMs to continue. 

I miss the goat splinter or that dude that would make a stage and debate about Christianity. He told me he didn't like gay people and its bad but still respected them. I wonder where he is right now.

You can totally suggest it but to be blunt Not a single person serious or goofin is on your side with this topic.  Do what you want to, but seriously it has literally just been disclosed by an admin of the server that it will be denied upon suggestion end of story. I get what you are trying to do but once again there is already a rule stating as long as its not deemed toxic or hate speech of any kind it will be treated as a false report. Creating safe spaces for players is important to us but at the end of the day people are allowed to have opinions even if they don't align with you. It is your responsibility as a adult  to feel and think for yourself. If you dont like what is being said and an admin says too bad the only option like stated before is to mute that person or people and go about your day. I can see how this is moraly not the proper response but as someone who believes that everyone should live their best lives and love one another, controlling someone's speech isnt the way to fight the good fight. I personally was raised to treat people with kindness no matter sex, creed, religion or race. Its none of my business  what your believes are my good stranger. Have a great night and do with this info as you will. But at the end of the day the reality of the situation is a hard no. No matter how you try to frame it one way or the other. From my point of view, people on this server should be able to talk about whatever they want as long as long as its not harmful aka things that fall under PTox guidelines. I don't understand why you think religious or current world topics would fall under those guidelines. People have the right to express their opinions and take whatever side they want as long as they are being respectful. If people don't like the discussions being help then they can mute. Also the idea that this is bringing down server population I think is false. The more rules and restrictions you have on what people can talk about means either more people getting banned or more people losing interest in what rp scenarios they can interact with. Topics like this catch some people attention, and some people play on this server to chill and talk. With the holy larp situation, he is an active player and people go in there and talk and try to change his mind. Nothing harmful about that. You also have people building mosques so its not just Christianity thats being shown.

 

If people wanted to make a gay safe space with pride flags and stuff, they definitely could they just don't. Religion is just more talked about doesn't mean that on the flip side the other is denounced. You are grasping at things such as "we are losing half our player base". I don't think we are losing half of our players because of discussed topics (other than people who go to these conversations and mrdm them). If anything people find a niche in the community that they enjoy, and that's what they stick to. 

 

Overall, if we were to limit the speak of religion, why not stop people from saying the n word and remove furry models cause it makes them uncomfortable. Ill go back to what i said earlier. If you don't like it, mute em, stay away, or just stop playing. Otherwise, they can just sit in a base and farm ents all day, no reason to interact with anyone else, just be by yourself in a building.
