lets see, i make a discussing getting other players opinions on my suggestion, then i revise the suggestion for a more clear and concise one for the admins to read as you need to be professional for them and not the community.

last i check admins can in fact control what players do in the server, its by enforcing the rules they made. a player cant raid within 2 minutes of already raiding because of the rules, if not then they arent a player for long. an age verification system is not possible, then how are you guys enforcing the TOS when players under the age of 13 joined, if you guys just move the age up to 18 im sure nothing in the moderation cycle or routine would change.

steam having no age verification system doesnt mean the server owners have zero responsibility. steam can have no system of verification but its up to the admins and owner to cultivate the kind of server environment they want. steam controls their own assess to games and the server owners have more control over the rules they implement. steam allowing minors to purchase whatever game doesnt remove the servers capabilities to moderate

so gmod doesnt have a content rating but its generally considered 16+ on IMDB mostly due to its content you can install to the game

i understand where you coming from, but just because its funny doesnt mean its not hurting the community and driving players away. the owner and moderators make changes to the rules all the time, modifying them to keep the in game chat about the game and not letting it derail into political arguments is just simple moderations, not censorship. and if we just let everyone say whatever they want in chat then we might as well as remove chat restrictions as a whole, other games ban spamming, disruptive behavior, harassment because having a unrestricted game chat makes things worse. people join gmod dark rp to play gmod dark rp, not to spend hours reading political arguements in chat, they tend to take over ooc and ruins the experience. if your wanting titsrp to become twitter at least twitter has some guardrails for what can be posted.

im a member of the titsrp community, ive been playing for several years, i have a depth knowledge of the server and the average gmod player psychology, instead of playing regularly i play to understand the community a little bit more for my study of the average internet gamer and how they got to be so toxic. this community is such a cool and niche community and its problably the reason why ive been apart of it for so long.

im bringing up an issue ive noticed, this is what the title of this discussion is about, lets not ignore it like it doesnt exist because that fixes nothing and degrades the community.

saying its up to the parents to moderate is like saying why need to remove speed limit signs in roads because the parents should have taught the kids how to drive better. you dont have to be the parent to children you just need better rules and to implement, saying "we cant tell who is old enough to play the server we would have to ask" its the same agreement with enforcing the TOS. how do you know if a player is below or above the age of 13. this isnt just a game, its a community that has a experience for everyone, if your allowing toxic behavior and saying "its the parents fault" hurts the greater of the community. i just dont want to ignore the problem and instead look for the solution for the issue.

im not trying to complain about the server. the whole "if you dont like this country than why dont you move out of it" argument doesnt work because im actively trying to fix a current issue ive noticed by bringing it up to other players in the forums. i want to improve the server, if i didnt really like this server then i wouldnt be making this forum post to discuss the current issues in the server. i play in this server just as much as everybody else. and its way to expensive to run my own server. why would i go and create my own server if i could just suggest a implication of a rule or better the original rules. and yes if children arent being moderated by their parents is not our problem or your problem as a moderator, but what other players are doing around the children is, especially when you actively acknowledge their existence in the server and continue to allow degratory statements in game or ooc.
