I did not ARDM in sit. I hit him one with a stun stick and used stun gun. I had no intention of killing anyone. I believe just cuffing should have resulted in a pd ban, not a total ban.

You admitted to  abuse right there you hit him with the stun stick and used a stun gun and it shouldn’t of been done in the sit, I will let the banning staff member speak on this  but we’re you previously warned for this or doing this to multiple people?

I do believe the ban was justified as well, use the ban simply as a trial and error and a time out just for a day isn’t too bad -1 from me

I would think ARDM would be actually trying to kill someone. I was only stunning with PD items.

Hey sorry for delayed response, the reason for your ban if i recall correctly is:
During the sit you claimed that you were attempting to RDM someone else for revenge and admitted to fault, i was going to warn but then you proceeded to blowtorch out of the jail sell, shoot at me and the person who called the sit. Due to the prior warns listed below and the actions during the sit i decided a short term ban would be a proper punishment.

I did not admit to attempting to RDM at any point. Breaking the jail cell realistically doesn't to anything since the i get tped right back in. I only stunned you, if I wanted to kill you I would have actually shot you with the m4 or 416 I had. I only admitted to cuffing him.

 

In regards to what clay said, I NEVER MRDMed or even attempted to. The "prop block" he is referring to was probably when I replaced the door to a cell he was kidnapped in. Someone broke the door so me and another guy were just placing a wall in front of it. Other than that, I did nothing else relating to props.

Honestly if you did that in my sit I would have seen that as you potentially trying to RDM me. You also didn't just stay in the jail when you should have which again...why?

 

Its a 1 day ban that is in all fairness justified. A little harsh but due to you just no being cooperative in the sit I can see why the ban would be placed. -1 from me.

So I'd still like to see the full logs or some sort of video of the sit before I make a judgment call on this, but genuinely speaking I'm not sure why anyone would dictate a few stungun shots as "ARDM" especially considering we already have terminology for that (NLA or Non Lethal Abuse).

 

Like I said, I'll hold off on a vote for now until more evidence is provided, but if you truly did only stun in the sit I do think a full on ban is a tad harsh.

 

(However, the ban itself is ultimately up to the banning staff member's discretion the end of the day.)

Personally I probably wouldn't have banned you if you stun gunned me in a sit I'd definitely warn and probably shame you for the funny, but it's absolutely a bannable thing with priors depending on which staff you get. Some won't really care and might mess with you but you should still always avoid attacking people in a sit. Stunguns do damage and are pretty annoying.

Depending on what logs show for this, if you shot someone before the sit happened that could justify Attempted RDM (which is what Madx is saying happened) but shooting with a stungun is not considered attempted RDM but it would instead be NLA (Non Lethal Abuse) Non lethal abuse isn't a huge deal and usually only max results in a warn. Being as how it happened in a sit its a little worse but as long as it was just a stun gun, then it's still not the biggest deal. 

I think the outcome entirely would depend on how you behaved in the sit, if you're being a problem in the sit or being toxic, it can result in the staff member not being as lenient, or going for the maximum punishment for your offense. We tend to save maximum punishment for people who are being so uncooperative, or being so toxic that they are unable to continue playing and need a break. 


If all you did was attempted to rdm outside of the sit, and non lethal abused in the sit, then I would have just warned you and given you a last chance reminder that further rule breaks could result in a ban

Based on what happened in the sit, and all of your warns/notes I do think in this case it was definitely fine to 1d you, I do think you need to take this as a lesson learned and cut it out. You were kinda funny in the sit but you just gotta avoid breaking the rules. You also shouldn't be telling people to kill themselves this can get you a month ban or more in severe circumstances. 

Granted you mostly sounded careless and were just fucking around you still have to avoid this kind of stuff. Had this been your only recent offense I'd probably not have banned you myself, but you do deserve a day break, and the fact that you're unbanned already makes me -1 for any removal. Don't keep making the same mistakes, I know it's gmod and people can get away with a lot, but the less trouble you get in the better.
