Breaking NLR Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? Believe I was loop hole RDM'd and now im in this position Who warned/banned you? Malicious How long were you warned or banned for? 3 Days This might be a little long winded, but here we go. All of this took place on 6/8/25. I was in a party and base with Landon Allstar, Benny Bagofmacaroni and a few others. We were basing in one of the harvest zones in Suburbs (One closest to the tunnel leading to spawn). We eventually got raided by Spys, Ego and a few others I don't remember all the names. I eventually got killed by one of them during the raid and was sent back to spawn. I went back towards the base. Sat in the next building over and just watched the madness unfold. In no way did I ever try and kill anyone raiding or try and stop anything happened during that raid. I just sat outside with another party member and a few others who weren't related in any way that were watching the raid unfold. I then got shot and killed where I was standing. Was told I was "breaking NLR" and was "raid watching/spectating". I'll completely admit did not know I was breaking NLR in anyway and Raid Spectating was a bad thing. I had seen people previously on the server watch their bases get raided and nobody make a huge deal of it unless they intervened with the raid, so my fault for not knowing that. I then just spawned back in and sat in the tunnel going to subs legit right next to the spawn zone line just waiting for them to get done the raid so I can go back and prepare the base again. I again get shot and killed all by the same group raiding the base and they're claiming im breaking NLR, spectating and "feeding info to the people in the base". I couldn't even see what was going on in the base from where I was sitting anyways, I dont know what info I could have possibly shared from all the way there when I can't see whats going on. I get pulled into a sit and get the whole low down about the NLR I apparently broke and was warned about it. No biggie. Later on in the same session. I go down in the sewers to build a base. I was basing in the room thats right near the waterfall that has a secret room behind it. My base has a big window you can see right inside from sewers. I have been doing different sewer base dupes the last couple times playing. The same party of people who had raided us before were basing across the way. I wasn't trying to raid them or anything at all just down there getting started to build. I had bought the door and put a building sign on the base. Started to do a little bit of building but realized I had props from the previous base we was in and just went to the GMod menus and did the clear everything button to wipe them out. I in that moment just didn't think it was gonna delete the building sign outside of my base. Got talking to my friend Sgt. Shit Humper that was in the base with me, we were talking about different CC guns that were good to have. Mind you... Nothing at all is blocking the huge windows to the base which you can see EVERYTHING INSIDE. Ego proceeds to blow the doors off to my base. I sorta thought he was just messing around and just was blowing the doors off but no he comes in and kills both me and Shit Humper for no reason. Claims it to be a raid when you could clearly see there was absolutely nothing in the base to even gain from. I then spawn back in. Head back down towards the sewers to actually start building then not even a couple minutes after that I get pulled into a sit involving Malicious and LeGerbs, LeGerbs claiming that I am breaking NLR. I legit just wanted to build and wasn't going back down there to cause any sort of problems with the guys in the base next to me. I also wanna note LeGerbs said "Maybe next time control your little temper". Don't know exactly what made him say that when I was pretty calm about it and didn't bother this dude at any time before this. If I dont get this appealed that's fine im not gonna lose sleep over. I also wanna state I don't think Malicious did anything wrong in the sits at all hes just doing his duties. I just feel like I was set up and I wasn't trying to cause any problems. Didn't retaliate RDM anyone after killing me for NLR I was just chilling at first watching the guys raid the base and just didn't know I couldn't watch, ive seen others do it and none of them were talked to about it so my fault for assuming in this case. I feel like I got RDM'd, just wanted to go back and build but was accused of NLR for going back to a base i was previously just starting to build in. nickdasaintful Posted June 9, 2025 Author Share Posted June 9, 2025 I went back down into the sewers because there was nothing to steal and no props spawned, no ents spawned, nothing to hide in and nothing covered up which you can clearly see in the video where Ego kills me. So if we're gonna be specific the so called "raid" would have been over and done the minute both me and Shit Humper were killed. So its NLR for me after getting blanently RDM'd by a dude raiding an empty base i was in the starts of building in. He basically raided to kill both me and Humper and gain nothing but that. You see anything in the base worth stealing or raiding over? LeGerbs Posted June 9, 2025 Share Posted June 9, 2025 During the first raid you came back 5 times. Ego let you off with a warning when I reported you the first time. During the first sit you were combative and hostile the entire time and still let off easy. After the raid you were complaining in ooc for a little over 20 minutes just talking shit which is fine its gmod after all. But it led you to buy the base in lower sewers directly in front of ours. Put up 2 building signs and sit there for over 15 minutes spamming music on your boombox. You had no intention to build and I have logs that ill post once I get home confirming that you hadn't spawned anything for over 15 minutes. So I decided to raid you the moment the building sign was gone. You came back in less than 30 seconds less than 2 hours after a warn for MNLR. While i agree bases shouldn't be raidable when they are mostly empty- it is still completely allowed. Any doors closed means there is a possibility of entities being behind them. The only protections are building signs and public base signs, or literally basing in a one room area with the door empty and the base completely empty, otherwise you are free game. Yea, when you die in a raid your only options are 1. Wait 10 minutes or 2. DM the raiders if they are done raiding/ask in ooc. You cant even go to the opposite side of the district or anything to spectate. The general idea is you should not be able to see what they are doing until the raid is over. You might consider passively spectating a raid to be innocent but it can be EASILY abused if it was allowed. Once you die you cant even go back to the same district unless you have business on the opposite side of the district and aren't spectating. "If you die while defending the base you may not return to the base until the raid is over. Returning to the other side of the district is fine if you are not spectating or interfering with the raid." In any situation - you would have to wait and avoid that area. If they camped your base for 10 minutes and didn't bother to make any actual attempts at raiding (yes even an empty base) then it would not be allowed, and you could have made a sit/report. Next time do NOT return unless 10 minutes has passed/you see them leave the district/or you ask them I'm gonna have to be -1 here Edited June 13, 2025 by Blue.
