Message to Our Trans Players

So, for like the past two or three months there’s been a few notable incidents where I’ve seen some trans members of the TitsRP community being subject to abuses of various kinds. The usual, dumb kinda shit you see on Gmod or just the internet as a whole obviously, but also slurs and general player targeting. Now that Agro is finally on the chopping block and out of the staff team I feel like I can say with full, less-than-professional clarity:

 

Fuck that guy. 
 

Fuck everyone else involved in perpetuating that behavior too.

 

The mask has slipped enough for it to be blatantly obvious, but I wish it didn’t have to come to that point in order for something to be done about it. Some of y’all have probably more than noticed the gaslighting taking place when trans folk on the server would have their concerns/reports ignored or would become the recipient of extremely severe punishments for minor indiscretions. Bringing up incidents like these, I’ve seen people (Agro included) say that it’s an overreaction and not that important. 
 

Well, here’s where complacency brought us.

 

I wish I could say it’ll get any better, but it won’t. That’s kinda a fact of life right now, and I’m sure y’all know it much better than I do. Regardless, I wish you all the best and I hope you’re all doing okay. Crossing our fingers, things will look better, and people will stop playing pretend like there isn’t a problem. 
 

I say it a lot, but remember to document everything. Have receipts, so that if incidents occur, no guilty party has plausible deniability. Thank you for being a part of our community, and stay safe.

Honestly yeah I gotta agree with you. I have seen a lot of transphobia get ignored a lot of the time on the server when it really shouldn’t be.

Good post, but there is something I need to point out, clarify, and be completely serious about. This has gone on far longer than what you've observed. It's gone on longer than I've been a part of the community. People have no idea how genuinely bad this is or just simply don't care. In fact, I'm coming forward with why I stopped coming on TitsRP so much. A few different members of community, people who have been here much longer than I had, and at least one previously community removed person had managed to find some of my information. How might you ask? Because I was stupid enough to join the last Minecraft server, which has a username I'd been used to using for that and a couple other unimportant accounts. The problem was, one of those unimportant accounts also had my (chosen) name. It was a decade old Pinterest account with a single collage I'd made up for a horror themed thing I made when I was only sixteen years old and had not touched it since.

 

But because of this community's bright fucking idea to let someone known for doxxing and just overall being a toxic person come back, they were able to assimilate back into the community and start playing again. They were among one of the WORST players I have ever had the displeasure to meet, were and probably are still friends with some of the current staff, and somehow has gotten away with everything. Even with the screenshots I currently have of THREE PEOPLE telling me that they went out of their way to find this info. I only have one person admitting who it actually was, and they didn't even have enough proof to satisfy the higher ups here to actually make it into something.

 

Might I also add that I have called out an alt before for being an alt (COUGH COUGH, NEMATODES), because they simply knew far too much about my in-game habits and were super buddy-buddy with some staff and NOBODY LISTENED TO ME. That person was revealed to be an alt of a community removed person (Fuel) and despite their appeal, the community finally fucking did the right thing and fought for it to not go through.  They constantly talked shit about me in game for being trans among other things, and had the fucking gall to say he had changed. Most of these people don't fucking change.

 

If you go through some of the general discussion posts, or even just go on a trip in my own profile under topics relating to harassment reports or discussions, you will see plenty of what I'm talking about.  I have HUNDREDS of thumbs-down and cry baby reactions from just a select few people who would go out of their way to use all of their reactions on ANY post I had, especially those under reports made about people who would harass me for such things. I've tried multiple times to make people take me seriously but it seems I just get told the same thing: mute/ block them and move on. I've had many trans friends quit the server or need to take repeated and long breaks because they were being mistreated and nobody bothered to listen or help. We've let many people abusive people slip through the cracks and be given positions of power just to abuse them. Agro is not the first staff member I've seen abuse to this extent, and he's not going to be the last unless people wake the fuck up and start paying attention.

From what I saw he banned everyone on the server, not just trans people. I don't see why you feel like it was a bigoted attack unless he did something else as well.

Wow yeah you really have no clue do you? I stupidly forgave him twice at least for his harassment because he "wanted to be friends with me". Turns out. he's just another pathological liar. He only wanted me on his good side and that was a reach. Open your EYES.
