Why were you banned or warned?

MRDM for defending myself and not having video evidence of me defending myself while no ticket was made against me by the mass rdm'ers who kept coming back to try to kill me.

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

The mass RDM'ers were attempting to keep coming back to kill me while I was hanging out on beach and I defended myself by shooting at them whenever they shot at me even if they did not hit me. They made no ticket and I was brought to a sit by Ironfish for no reason and since I did not have video evidence he banned me for defending myself even though they both were banned for MRDM and NITRP when they blatantly were the ones RDMing.

Ironfish just banned me for a week for MRDM when I was defending myself from guys who kept coming out of spawn to attack me for no reason after they had prior attempted rdm on me 2 times and rdm'd me 2 times. They kept coming out of spawn, shooting at me and I killed them. No sit was made and Ironfish then brought me to a sit when one of them left the server and the other was just out blatantly mass rdming. I then proceeded to explain that they were shooting at me when they were leaving the spawn tunnel and then he said "but you killed them without them doing damage to you" even though they blatantly had weapons out in logs and had been hitting me multiple times. He then ignored what I was telling him after I said I did not have it clipped and he said "you can appeal it on the forums" and banned me for a week. In the rules it states you can defend yourself if you are being attacked even if you are not hit as well as in the staff guidelines it states "DON’T issue a punishment without a sit." Ironfish is known for looking through everyone's logs without a sit just to find reasons to punish such as looking through chat logs and punishing people for PMs or for things that are not being reported at all. This is using staff tools outside of a ticket which is against the guidelines as well as abuse of his role as staff.

Sae had seen them shooting at me and attempting to mass RDM and called it out in gen chat on discord after Ironfish wrongfully banned me.

Additionally, I would love to point out that if we need video evidence for any time in which we are playing and doing anything then that is absurd. That would mean that if I shoot at Ironfish, he kills me after I did not hit him, and I report him, he would be warned for IRDM if he does not have evidence of him defending himself. That being the case would be a terrible look for the server and staff in general and allow for massive amounts of rule abuse and staff abuse.

Last thing is I think it is dumb to assume that I would MRDM when I have been a member of the server for years, staff for about two or so years, have 2 warns that have expired and have no bans prior to this. That also makes absolutely no sense in any form of logic used.

     Hello Tyz37, sadly since you are not staff I understand that you had no clue that a sit was actually made, so sadly your point on that regard is moot. On to the next, you admit yourself that they attempted to RDM you twice, and actually RDM'd you twice. You killed them 33 times. In the logs out of the 33 times you killed them they only attacked you first twice (proof of the 33 kills, and the damage logs). The issue with this is that you took punishing those players into your own hands by RDM'ing them 30+ times, which is against our rule: 

 

     In conclusion I can understand your frustration, however, there was a sit made, and there's no way to justify killing two people right outside of spawn 33 times in the span of 8 minutes. The main issue from a staff perspective with this is new players. If a new player sees you killing two people as soon as they walk out of spawn repeatedly they are going to get a bad image of the server. You had three avenues you could have taken, and with you being prior staff I assumed you would have done this: 1) Voteban the culprits. 2) Make a sit. 3) Compile evidence and report them on the forums. You decided to take the most drastic route and just kill them 33 times in eight minutes. This is clearly against our rules. I am a -1 for this appeal.

Quick Edit: Here is proof of the sit made. These new players could have had the chance to just be pulled to a sit, educated, given vip and sent on their way reformed. But that chance was ruined when you took the punishment into your own hand.

I was relaxing on beach and not mad about them trying to RDM me. Again, I did not take anything "into my own hands" and was defending myself. I was consistently being shot at and you did not take their ticket prior. You instead waited until he left, with no evidence decided to punish, and refused to listen to my side of the story. You ignored the fact that they kept running out with guns, had hit me multiple times first, had rdm'd me multiple times prior to me doing anything, and refused to do anything until you can just punish. They have their guns ready and are shooting at me. It does not matter if they hit me because if they shoot at me, I can defend myself. Do you not use your brain while looking at words? They consistently are holding guns during it which would not make sense if I was RDMing. If I was RDMing, I would be killing them randomly when they have no guns out, are doing nothing, etc. NONE of the kills are of them clearly being passive. By your logic, if I shoot at you, miss, you kill me, and I report you, you will be warned for IRDM for "taking it into your own hands". I was standing on the beach, they shoot at me, I shoot back and kill them. End of story. Each kill, they shot at me so I shot back. It does not matter if they are new players or not, I can defend myself when being shot at. "You decided to kill them 33 times in 8 minutes" is because I was on beach, they run out with guns shooting at me over and over, and I kill them because they are bad at shooting. They did not RDM me only twice. You cut off logs. They RDM'd me more than twice. In conclusion, NONE of it was me "taking punishment into my own hands" as they were initiating combat that did not bother me so I did not care to report it. Based on that, running out of spawn to shoot at someone and missing and getting killed constitutes RDM so that would mean that I am allowed to go, shoot at someone over and over again, report them for RDM (not mass rdm) and if they killed me for me doing that 3+ times then they get banned for MRDM.

Also, I do not voteban or make tickets unless I can't be bothered to defend myself, am irritated, or am just tired of someone's bullshit. The only other reason is if I just want someone to be informed on a rule and so they do not get banned. I do not give a shit if anyone MRDMs unless it is excessive at one of my bases that I have open to the public such as one of my bar bases.

@Packand I provided the logs and I can confirm that they were in fact not in the server to RP. Matter of fact, it was my sit that got Big D Oswald banned. Not that this post matters, it will probably be hidden immediately. However, he was in fact defending himself.

Even DarkenDG can testify on how they were Mass RDMing and attacking first. If we punish without the opposing party and if the person does not have video evidence, then lets get some witnesses for my side against the TWO PEOPLE WHO WERE MASS RDMing AND WHICH WERE BANNED FOR NITRP. You hid Sae's comment even testifying that they were attacking first and it was in self defense so let's see if darken will even testify or anyone else who was ACTIVELY SEEING THEM ATTACKING FIRST over and over again out of spawn.

Ironfish has a lot of big words and types too much sometimes. To put it simply, in our guidelines you cannot break rules. There are very little exceptions for that. You Mass RDMed. The punishment is a 7 day ban.

 

"DO NOT take rule violations into your own hands, someone else breaking the rules doesn't mean you get to and you can be punished too"

So according to @Developer and @Ironfish1 I am allowed to come back to an area, shoot at or shoot someone, report them, leave the server after  like 10 minutes, the ticket will be taken, and they will be banned for MRDM for defending themselves as defending themselves will "break rules" and count as "mass rdmed".
