A gang war broke out between the bloods and the Crips near spawn. As the gang war escalated various other non-gang people started 'participating' in the gang war via RDM as they can't actually participate since they are not gang members. Eventually the Senior Moderator Cuntbucket sent all the gang members and a few other non-gang members to be locked up, but did not bring all the users who participated in actual RDM to be locked up (unfair treatment of gang members only, as having the gang war between Bloods and Crips is valid RP but all the other civilians that shot gang members were not all punished). After a long discussion Cuntbucket agreed with the gang members the a gang war was allowed so long as we didn't shoot non-gang members, and decided to release the gang members. When they did start to release everyone they did it by only un-jailing everyone and not sending the gang members back to the actual map. At this point the gang war re-ignited in sit because gang members always shoot other gang members on sight, leading to both the Crips side and Blood side shooting at each other. Very quickly this mini-gang war ended with the Crips being victorious over the Bloods and leaving all the other civilians in sit alone as they are not part of the gang war. At this point Cuntbucket unlawfully banned the Crips members for `RDM in sit, NITRP` , but they never said we were not allowed to shoot each other after he un-jailed us (I didn't even know they were gonna un-jail, I thought they would just send us back to the map directly), and the rules do not mention anything about violence in 'Sit' as the ban mentions (I didn't even know sit was a thing I've never been there before, how was I supposed to now what the 'rules of sit' are?). Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? It seems like the Crips members were unjustly targeted with a ban simply because the Bloods have a skill issue, as they lost the mini gang war in sit, but did not end up banned alongside the Crips. Preferable all the Crips members that got banned in sit should be unbanned as we didn't break any rules in sit and were not told we couldn't shoot each other there as a part of the gang war (kind of lead on by Cuntbucket here after they said the gang war was ok, but then proceed to ban us after we continued the gang war), or all the Bloods members that took part in the main gang war and the mini war in sit should also be banned as they were shooting, they are just bad at the game and died. The ban itself is valid I don't think it's just a skill issue. -1 from me. Death matching someone in sitland during a sit is considered IRDM in a sit and even Failure to Comply. The time set for your ban is proper if not lienent. I don't see anything about it in the rules and I don't know how I am supposed to know these unwritten rules and I'm now getting punished for it these unwritten rules without being told about it. As I said before I had never been jailed or taken to sitland before so I didn't even know it existed. How was I supposed to know that you don't RP in this sitland? Isn't this an RP server? I'm fine with waiting out my three day ban if it comes down to that (although I'd prefer to be unbanned), but I at least ask that everyone that participated is treated fairly as it is not fair that the Bloods didn't get banned just because they are bad and died in sitland even though they participated in shooting others while in sitland, they just died instead of killing anyone and since they died they didn't get banned. Based on your comments am I to understand that shooting others while is sitland is completely ok so long as you don't end up killing anyone as that's how the Bloods are being treated in this situation. If that's true I'll make sure I do not kill anyone if I ever end up in a situation where there is a shoot out in sitland to make sure I don't break any rules. The reason I banned the three of you (who all happened to be your friends on steam, alongside one of the bloods. rather peculiar if you ask me.) Is because logs showed your folks shooting first! Can't exactly blame them for fighting back after they start getting shot at during a time where they thought they were safe from being gunned down. Maybe I should have also talked to them all about not shooting back, but considering the number of people that had been teleported (10+), and the amount of arguing that had taken place in the sit, you'll have to forgive me for not doing so and letting them return to their RP, which all of you had frequently asked me to during the sit. Also, for much the same reason you don't RP in spawn, you also should not be RPing in Sitland (you know, the area where there's nothing to rp with except people that were in a sit?) In general, we don't write down every single rule that should be gathered from context (ie. no one shooting each other after they get unjailed until you and your friends started to open fire). There's a reason we have a rule that specifies: DO listen to staff. Even if something isn't explicitly mentioned in the MOTD, does not mean it's okay. If you have an issue with a staff ruling, take it up on the forums instead of in-game So thank you, for taking the time to make this appeal on the forums. Jimmybow Posted February 26, 2023 Author Share Posted February 26, 2023 Hi Drakos / Cuntbucket, Not that it matters, but not all the people banned with me were my friends (I was just playing with two friends, and I think one didn't even get banned but maybe they did), and I don't remember one of them being on the bloods side but you can just switch jobs right? Either way, if we shot first we shot first, but can you give 'more context' about why we aren't supposed to be RPing in Sitland? I see the rules say 'DO NOT RP in spawn unless you're running through it in an RP situation', (which in itself is confusing since it is saying to not RP in spawn unless you are RPing in spawn? Seems like the rule kind of refutes itself to me), but I don't see a rule extending that to Sitland. Overall I don't see any rules directly mentioning Sitland so how am I supposed to know what to do there. I haven't RPed before (my friends brought it up to play not me) so it's not like I have context from other severs for this sort of thing, but it might be nice to outline that somewhere as many rules seem to refer to sits but where is a general explanation of what a 'sit' and 'Sitland' are? Might be nice so I could know you aren't allowed to RP there ever since it is an unwritten rule just because it is "the area where there's nothing to rp with except people that were in a sit?". This seems like a bit of a blind spot in my opinion as a lot of people seem to be 'missing the context' for what to do or not do in sitland as I see a lot of people have been banned for RDM there, including yourself.
