Why were you banned or warned?

Community Removal

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

I already have a feeling that this is going to be pretty lengthy, but here goes. After what happened back in late September with some stuff I said about my dog, I was messaged by Tene and was told that the final decision made regarding what happened was that if I sexualized animals, whether through memes, jokes, or so forth, then I'd be community removed. Although that wasn't my original intention, I understood why everything had to happen and I told Tene that I agreed with the reasoning pretty much. Since then I've sort of just like, y'know, kept relatively quiet regarding what happened for the sake of my and others' sanity. I haven't really said much about it since because it's a topic that still makes me relatively uncomfortable to this day.

Earlier this morning I was DM'ed by cobaselic, and he told me that after a large staff vote, I had been community removed for "sexualizing animals" again. Hope it's alright if I post screenshots of our messages below. Upon looking at the evidence of me supposedly "sexualizing animals" I was immediately dumbfounded. The reason I had been removed was for two pictures I had posted- one was a really cringe picture of a Fennec and the other was of some random dog with the caption "gay ass dog." I've also linked screenshots of those below.

Those two memes or whatever aren't sexualizing animals in any shape or form- they're just ironic cringe, ESPECIALLY the first one. Was the justification because I used "gay"? Because if you think being gay or a homosexual is an inherently sexual thing then that's just an ignorance thing, not something to be taken literally. Intimate relationships, hetero or homo, don't always revolve around sex. I'm not calling anyone homophobic, I'm just stating the truth here. I don't see how anyone could've looked at that retarded "gay little paws" fennec picture and thought that it was sexualizing animals, it was just a cringe meme. Same with the gay ass dog picture- I was using the word gay in a more offensive, ironic context. I've linked two definitions below. I feel like this stuff has just been way overblown.

I hope that through this, a mutual compromise of some sort can be reached. I've always enjoyed dicking around on the server with friends & building random stuff. To be booted out of this community for such an outlandish reason really sucks :( But regardless, I hope you took the time to read this before making your decision regarding this, thank you.

Describing an animal as having a sexuality is sexualizing an animal smh. You were told not to do it, you did it anyways. You're trying to justify it as "even though I said that this living animal has gay little paws and big gay ears, running around being gay... That is not sexualizing an animal!". There was much debate surrounding that image, with some people trying to say that it was merely you describing yourself as opposed to the fox. The bottom line is you were told specifically not to sexualize any real/living animals in any way whether it be memes/images/joking about it at all and you couldn't stop yourself from doing it.

There always seems to be some sort of drama relating to you, and you were given the chance to prevent it from happening. This isn't something that happened overnight, this was discussed among the staff team for the last few days and the majority vote was to remove you. It's not gonna be changed, you were given a chance. All you had to do was not post anything about animals in any sexual way.
