I mean I can tell the screen is blurry for sure, but at the same time you can still clearly see peoples player models - so if you can see what model someone is using you should also be able to clearly see if someone has a glowing/bright red material or not.

Mistakes happen, but as a staff member you know more than anyone if something is crossfire or accidental it is still considered RDM.

Its just a warning its not really going to effect anything, I don't see the point in removing the warn when it was really RDM.

The guy was clearly not a bright red color, and was not even in the raid zone at the time of being killed (nor was he ever even in the raid zone or participating in the raid)

As staff we should be held to a higher standard. We are all people so mistakes happen - but when we make a mistake we should just accept the punishment & move on. The dude called a sit, and in that sit it was determined to be RDM and a warn was given so I don't really think its necessary to change that. You also have 6 active warnings for RDM as well so..

After looking at evidence provided I will be taking away my -1. (vote changed)

I like to play devil's advocate here so let me say my piece here.

-Is accidental RDM still RDM? yes, but does it mean we have to always punish for it? No.

-You can also make the claim that as the base defender you can technically raid it as a normal base raid then as a revolter at the same time that's perfectly normal too

-His screen was blurry therefore the possibility that it was a CC with any random model and in the darkness of sewers plus the fact of distance could actually change the way he sees the dude makes it wayyyyyy harder to tell.

I would like someone to take the same model, blurr the image again and then put up the base and take a picture and put it in here so we can see what he saw and get an idea of what we're working with because yeah while it might be a warn I'd personally chalk it up to a bullshit warn for something so easily mistakeable that it should have been put as a verbal at most as a "just be more careful, shit happens" type thing.

Neutral for now/Leaning to +1

Succs idea is really solid, it can be hard sometimes to see models normally in the sewers let alone blurred so a better visual would really help here.

u will try to get this reproduced but can i do so after the map reverts back because it is darker then the old map i can still provide some proof just need some help reproducing

Didn't you just give a note warn to someone for accidentally rdm the other day lmao

If you feel another player who accidentally rdmed deserved a warn then I feel you do too.

Yes I know the situations pretty different but you get my point

But also I don't believe a simple mistake should matter as much as some people think.

It is just a warning tho lol really not that big of a deal but im +1 for removal

punishments given vary greatly depending on multiple things such as the situation itself, the players previous warn/ban history, their attitude during the sit, etc, etc. And also if the person who RDM is a staff member that kind of effects things as well.. so I'm not really sure what your point is tbh - plus you haven't been on in a few weeks so wym the other day lol

Well the video mav showed, shows that he had a gun out so i thought he was participating in the raid also from the image succ shows it is very hard to see with out having a base dupe down since i had a dupe down and thought i saw he was entering the raid it clearly shows i made a mistake and since i was bugged with a blurry screen i decided to make this warn appeal since i did not see my self as rdmming another player from my pov i was killing someone who was trying to enter a raid or raid zone.

so are you both still firm on -1? even though i have stated all i need to say also lewds "verbal warn" was removed from his mistake which even though it is different cases and should not be brought up in other topics it shows that we all make mistakes and should be forgiven in the end.
