I had asked him twice why there was a lockdown and he never responded so I assumed there was no reason and made a sit about it. Seconds after I made the sit, he had claimed it and brought me in which then he *immediately* returned me. I do not have a problem with the lockdown situation, I have a problem with how he handled the sit I created, in my experience, you don't just claim, bring and return a person who made a sit *on you* without dealing with the report nor answering my question. So he accepts it just to show you he's not dead. However that said. It doesn't take much to just go "// taking a sit hol up" or "// revolts happened" like if I was you I could even see the argument being made that because he didn't tell you a reason that he had a lock down because he was taking sits and if that's the case it's kinda on the gray line of abuse. Like let me make a lock down so I can take some sits. Which is technically using your staff powers for RP. +1 From me. Don't know what I'd do as a punishment though. I'm not making the argument of abuse and It's not my intention to see him getting a large punishment for the assumption that I made an abuse case, this is just a report on his staffing in general, at most I want to see him talked to because this isn't what should be happening when a sit is created, if he claimed the sit and took about 30 seconds as a break then dealt with it, it would have been no problem but that's not what happened, I don't see him learning that what he did was not acceptable without a report being placed on him. During this time as seen in your evidence, you asked multiple times in OOC why there was a lockdown. As of course I was handling a sit, so I ignored these. Around the time the sit I was handling was over, I noticed you made a sit on me regarding the lockdown. I was already in sit land so I tped you to me. I said "I was handling a sit." Then I returned you. I didn't start the lockdown then accept the sit, I had it on currently during and after a revolt. I'll see what other staff have to say. If you wanted to see the reason of lockdown, It says it at the top of your screen and in chat! And I told you why I didn't take it down immediately during the sit! It doesn't disclose the reason in chat nor does it say anything about a lockdown in chat which is bad design IMO ( @Rubik), and it doesn't have a fixed position on screen except for "Lockdown in progress", it uses the servers admin tool to broadcast it for a certain interval which disappears after 3-5 seconds. This is a valid reason to ask you why there was a lockdown and an answer for said question in a PM to me or in a sit with me after you finished that sit would have resolved this whole situation and I would have been pleased. 3 hours ago, Gaylek said: And I told you why I didn't take it down immediately during the sit! I haven't asked you to remove the lockdown, I asked why it was up there in the first place, my question still stood and your lockdown even remained for your duration as the mayor despite you saying you took it down. If you were in a sit, you could have left that sit alone and let another moderator take it and wait for you, the report was on you for not having a reason for that lockdown (which I assumed because you failed to respond to my PM's within a reasonable timeframe) and you entirely evaded the sit in general by bringing and returning me. Guest Posted April 10, 2022 Share Posted April 10, 2022 This sounds to me like a staff member being flooded with sits, it might be a bit unprofessional and rude to accept the sit, bring the user, send 1 text message and immediately return the player, but you have to understand that when staff members get flooded with sits and they have the will to take all of them, they can get pretty stressed out with all that sit chaos happening, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Handling sits isn't a reason for lockdowns to happen, maybe he was saying thats why he didnt respond, but even then, he could literally give you the reason (why the sit was made) as to why he called lockdown during your sit. With a lot of sits and a situation like that, Gaylek couldve claimed the sit and just pmed you whilst he was listening to the other sit he was taking at the time. If he didn't want to do that, he could've brought you and atleast actually gave an answer to the sit being called, and not just a return and then removing the lockdown. Even here he doesn't state why there was a lockdown at all. Not that big of a deal but think this was a good report to make to make everyone more aware of how they should actually respond to general question sits on here, even when overloaded ! +1 for talking to ??! The lockdown was bc of a revolt and raid! And your sit asked why the lockdown was still going on, not why is it actually there.
