Carelos
Your Steam Name: Carelos Your in-game name: Carelos Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:73934262 Why were you warned/banned?: Breaking NLR Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? : My first defense is that it was a different RP scenario. They claimed there was a raid happening, but there was never a base to raid. I grabbed a C4 that they placed (without me watching them place it so all I could know it could just be a random C4) so I grabbed the C4 and shot it into the water and they proceeded to kill me. I then came back to where my base was (Indust) and I see a dude turned around looking like a viable kidnap victim. It happened to be the same dude. His friend proceeds to call a sit on me for NLR. Also to throw in I have 1 warn for FailRP and 1 ban from a long time ago I believe. It was a totally different RP scenario IMO and I don't see a reason to get warned for being a first time offender. Who warned/banned you and for how long?: Spartan Evidence: Also to throw in, when spartan went to the spot of the NLR there was no base there. This took place at the little water thing in industrial which obviously isn't a valid base slot as there's no ownable doors or anything. The base owners were CC's I believe and it falls under building in the street which once again makes the base fail to where theres nothing to raid. So unless there was a rule change I was not aware of I don't see how this is NLR. I was told by a Super Admin about a similar scenario that there was no NLR timer for a non-raid so there's no issue during that scenario, so I've always gone by that. Spartan
I feel as if the warn was just and here's why. Toucan and Timothy were raiding a building, this building was in the fenced off water area in industrial. One of them placed a c4, Carelos proceeded to pick it up and throw it, they killed Carelos because he messed with their c4. 25 seconds later Carelos return to the placed he died and kidnapped one of them. In the MOTD it states "NLR exists and please use your best judgment to determine whether or not it is okay to return to a place after death." I feel as if in my best judgment that he should have waited before returning to his location of death. I will not be accepting nor denying this appeal at this time for the reason of me wanting to see other staffs opinion on this. Succ The Zucc
Pfft. -1 if that’s the case. You interacted with their raid. They killed you. You came back interacted with the same raid. To say that there is a “non-raid” for a base in the middle of the street is little meh. If it has keypads. You can raid it. As a previous staff member you dealt with NLR scenarios like this specifically. You don’t come back to a raid you just died at. Carelos
As a previous staff member you dealt with NLR scenarios like this specifically I'd also like to add in that I actually don't think I have. And if I ever actually have it's ended in a verbal as its a common misconception that probably happens a lot more then we all think. If I was a non-bias staff member in this situation (not calling anyone bias just if it was not me and the same thing happened) I'd just look at the realistic parts of it and realize it's just a person on the other side and people using a C4 to break 1 prop to get him out. The person who called the sit said they were trying to kill him, but also gunned me down at the same time. I just don't see the realistics in using a C4 to break one prop and kill someone when you clearly have a gun. For example this is like taking a base in the middle of the streets with one prop, and instead of blowtorching it or lockpicking it, you place a c4 to blow up the single prop. As a player I really couldn't understand this. I wouldn't warn for this but I am not the one to give a decision here as it may come by as "biased" even though my opinion wont matter. I just don't see the base there is to raid here and what would qualify it as a raid. Before this thing took place there were like 5 of us going around kidnapping people but I dont believe I actually kidnapped anyone I was just messing with the kidnappee's instead. It wasn't a thing just to minge this dude or whatever. Link to comment https://forums.titsrp.com/topic/13290-nlr-warn-appeal/#findComment-89735 Share on other sites
Doc McStubbins
Carelos. You should have been very aware of who killed you, and who you went back to interact with. The excuses given to us are not enough. "My base was close" "Different scenario". Not gonna cut it man. Take this warn as a learning experience to not go mess with what killed you.
