Squanch was next to the guy who stepped on the mine and died. I was immediately jailed and, without a word, given a 24 hour ban. I was in the wrong and accepted the ban for what it was, even if I thought the definition of "Mass RDM NITRP" with 24 hours (logged in after and it was a perma) was a bit harsh. There were also dozens, if not more, of people RDMing in the tunnel; I WAS in the wrong to place a mine there, but with the absolute death toll going on I found it weird I was singled out and given a wordless permaban essentially. I understand some of Squanch's position given he was probably frustrated with the gang war / half the server dying in the tunnel to each other. Putting the mine down and killing two people I was not RPing with was wrong and I apologize for that. I hope my Permaban can be looked at in the future, and I apologize to Squanch for the incident. I'm not understanding this whole new perma ban system. Sugar said himself he doesn't like the perma bans unless very big/wrong or have been banned for mass rdm ALOT of times(5 or so). Once again, I'm not sure if it was more then just mass rdm but I have seen this happen a lot. I really do think there needs to be a staff meeting or discussion about all the permas going around... If you look at the ban logs there is a few for perma ban for mass RDM. Here is a quote from sugar. "As of recently staff have been perma banning everyone for mass rdm / mass rda / being a minge which isn't the intention" "Now I do understand some of the perma bans can be legit. If you have been banned 5+ times for mass rdm you need to reevaluate yourself and you can take a long break. But even then those bans shouldn't be perma. They should be for like 2+ months." +1 Shorten Ban Once again, I think this actually needs a staff discussion with senior mods about this whole perma ban thing. I didn't have any discussion at the time of the ban, just jail and ban. I would say I RDM'd twice and I will take any punishment for that. I will shorten your ban to 7 days and speak with Squanch.
