(Their name and profile):OMG Silver, http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198218128239 Reasons why you are reporting: Starting from the beginning, I was demoted by the mayor a friend of silver for disrespecting silver (The disrespect was really minor he asked someone to rate something and I said I rated it 0 ass[Yeah it was a dumb joke I know]) after that I came back to the pd as a mayors assassin and changed my name to OMG Sllver (An l instead of an I) but was killed because I am bad at mayors assassin. I changed my name back since I had no need of impersonating an officer at this point. I see silver jail himself twice in chat before he teleports and freezes me. He asked me what I think I was doing, I tell him the truth. He calls me a liar and said I changed my name so the mayor would demote him on accident.(I changed my name after I was no longer a cop) I told him he was wrong and ask for a third party admin.(I found the idea of the person accusing me of something being the one to punish me unfair) He ignores me, his friend mocks me for asking. He fails to kick me and I ask Griffin ooc, the mayor(his friend) tells griffin its a trick question.(What does that even mean?)I ask more hoping griffin would chime in. I am kicked for "Impersonating Staff" and "Fail RP" Now there are multiple things wrong with this. Firstly impersonating staff is not in the rules anywhere and I never fail rp'd. Secondly even if it was this punishment does not follow the punishment times. Thirdly he just failed so hard at being staff, he jailed himself, failed to kick me because of a typo, and worst of all he brought his friend into the sit just because he was his friend. Rubik Posted February 25, 2018 Share Posted February 25, 2018 Regardless of the reason behind it, I don't think it was a smart move to duplicate a staff member's name. Unless you are close to them I don't see that working out at all in your favor. Regardless of it being stated in the rules or not, there are many reasons why staffs should not be confused with anyone else. I think you made a poor choice and the punishment you received was fair. p.s. - punishment is always at the discretion of the staff member and "punishment times" are mostly only used as a reference. I fail to see how you were "impersonating staff" unless you were claiming to be a staff member while using someones name. heck i am a staff member and i used to do it all the time, no one ever gave two shits. The guidelines are guidelines. Either way, how is it impersonating a staff member if he literally didn't do anything to claim he was staff? Secondly you switched jobs in pd to an assassin and copied my name when I even asked in staff chat when Griffin said that is not allowed so I kicked you for it as I thought that was a justified reason for a kick after listening to a higher up.
