Why were you banned? FRP (Job change to raid) | RDM

 

Why should you be unbanned?:  At most, I RDMed a dude, let me explain,

there were two simultaneous sits, I was speaking with Mr Peanut Butter when Abstract tped to Mr Peanut Butter as someone else had accused me of rdm. I explained PARTIALLY why I killed the man but then went back to dealing with the first sit. The allegation was that I switched to PD and then raided a house that had printers. I did this, I was walking down the street, switched to PD and then heard printers, then proceeded to raid the house with printers. I explained this to Mr Peanut Butter but they would not listen, I asked multiple times what I did that was wrong and Mr Peanut Butter replied with " you know what you did " and quoted past and expired warns as the reason. I have no active warns. Eventually dantos came and tried to help, however, no one told me what I did that was wrong, apparently if you switch to pd you must not raid? IDK, it's very confusing.

Let me reiterate, it was not disputed that I switched to PD OUTSIDE of the mans base.

I really dont see what was wrong with that.

separately, the rdm is the result of an accusation that was being handled my abstract,  this guy was standing in the pd door, refusing to let me out, I verbally warned him 3 times and then killed him. I told the staff that I killed for bodyblock, assuming I would have time to explain the rest when I had a second sit, but no second sit occurred.

Not good. If asked, a staff member should be able to tell you what rule you broke and either point to it in the MOTD or point out why it is against the rules or if an administrator told him it's against the rules. As far as I know, the only rule regarding switching jobs and raiding is that once you begin a raid (enter the base or any other action that may be considered a raid) or become part of a raid by being raided, you cannot switch jobs until it is over.

 

All staff have the ability to type shownlr into console and see death positions as well as the position of the person who killed them at the time and what direction they were facing. If you killed somebody for bodyblocking, there's no excuse why they wouldn't have been able to verify if the person was at least in the doorway area and give you a proper sit about it. You should always be given the chance to defend yourself, at the very least by being asked "Do you have anything to say in your defense."

I explained to him several, several times, that rdm is bannable especially when he has several prior warns for RDM, and was Staff (only for a few days) and should know what RDM is. Everybody else involved understood what was happening, he is playing coy at best. Also, he has around 20 warns on his record, by a wide range of Active Staff members, so that's false information, again. which was added to your ban (False Info | Minge in Sit) because you were annoying everybody involved and wasting other Staff's time by "being so confused". I'm pretty sure most of us can agree that killing somebody for being in a doorway is not an acceptable reason, especially when he was a CP and CP have stunsticks that can move people without damaging them. I don't know if he warned the person, but if he did, there is also a rule that states not to warn people for general actions. The RDM is the reason he was banned, because he has plenty of RDM warns, so obviously warns aren't helping him learn this rule. the FRP could have been a warn with only one prior warn for it, but it is added because it happened around the same time, both were reported, and I handled both cases. In the Moderator Guidelines you only punish once even if it's multiple charges. I requested an extend to 3d, not sure Iif it went through. I'm -1 for unban and +1 for extend for wasting more time with this nonsense.

 

User was previously demoted after an extremely short time as Staff and has since accumulated almost enough warns to be halfway to perma.

 

Please Deny. He clearly does not know the rules and needs time to read them and study them.

It should be common sense really that the more severe crime is the reason for the ban. and also LDW seems to think that just because another staff member claimed the RDM part of the case, that I cannot take over and punish him accordingly after finding out about it, interrogating him, and getting a confession. what is the point of this?

Dima I only really play cp, every so often I switch to rebels and revolt because it's fun. I left the 'revolt' because the mayor died, we won, what do u want me to do?

In addition I started the revolt, did you really think I was busy looking for people to raid during a revolt? nope

do you have evidence that you switched jobs BEFORE hearing the printers? because logs show, job change, warrant, kill all in the span of like 2min.

Well personally I think killing someone for being in the way contradicts the rule where you cannot warn/kill for general actions, being in a doorway is a pretty general action. and I try to use common sense when enforcing rules, but if this is allowed, where does it say or who says it's allowed in the first place where does that information come from? even if it's allowed, I would say it's not right for CP to do so, maybe a civilian that had no option could kill someone if they are blatantly blocking people from entering somewhere, but body blocking as far as I know is a server law not a city law, Staff should be the ones dealing with it not CP or civs unless there's none available or it doesn't bother anyone (ex: body blocking user is afk in doorway).

It's been a thing here for...what, years? Maybe even since the server began? Most certainly long before I joined...

 

What says? I dunno. What says that you can't kill them for it? 

Who says? Most of the staff team have done it, including at least one admin and one head admin. I guess they say.

I can't really believe I have to debate this. The server's worked like this for...well, before I joined at least. Are you that unfamiliar with basic mechanics like warning someone to get out of the damn way...?
