Extremely incompetent. Doesn't know the rules, the staff guidelines, how to use commands or logs and blatantly lying in a report.

Section 2: common sense says if no one is reporting it there shouldn't be a sit, yet he is trying to ban me in the clip for mass rdm that no one reported. This has been discussed at length in my last 3 appeals and reports, which katoon has looked at since hes 's responding to them. Why is he ignoring the fact that he as a staff shouldn't interfere if none of the parties cared even if it was rdm (it wasnt)


The fact that katoon expects me to tell him what commands to use in the sit, he doesn't know the rules or staff guidelines all lead me to the opinion that he is either so incompetent that he shouldn't be staff or that he is being intentionally biased and shouldn't be staff. I'm leaning towards the intentionally biased since he was lying in the report about me.

I'm also going to add that katoon has already been demoted once for abusing staff powers

when he said he was online and there were 4 sits up, i believe he was referring to when I banned you the 1st time for MRDM, cause he was online then, and there were 4 sits up against you.

He clearly says Jgpapi.
Let's say he didn't specifically name jgpapi and it's about the other situation. There is no evidence of 4 sits being up, while i have provided evidence for every one of my claims. If there were 4 sits why didn't you take them? Why have no logs been posted of them even though staff are encouraged to save logs after banning people? Why was the only mention of 4 sits ever brought up after the fact by someone else and at the same time there's a clear effort to shut down anyone saying the new staff members have 0 clue on how to do their duties?

I think you may have answered your own question with the word "new". People make mistakes, which is typically why people don't immediately report T-Mods and new mods for mistakes like this, but instead have respectful conversations with them

Katoon has been staff before, his application says he has staffed on multiple servers, he has been staff for multiple months at this point and played the server more than 99.99% of every other player yet still doesn't know how to use staff commands, doesn't know the rules and doesn't know the staffing guidelines? 

It's funny how the excuse of being a "seasoned player" is always used against me yet when its little katoon who has several hundreds of days played hes entitled to literally have 0 clue about anything he's trying to do. Are staff held to a lower standard than players?

All I'm saying is these are issues that can be solved with a simple discussion. Whether its a direct one on one with Katoon, or a conversation between him and a higher up. It's unnecessary to always gun for the nuclear option every time someone makes a mistake

What is stopping staff from going to the nuclear option of banning me for 7 days for mass rdm (something katoon tried to do in the video) with only 1 sit called when they can have a discussion about it? I'm not going to take out my kiddie gloves just because the admins wanted to give katoon his make a wish to be staff. He should know better, he should have the training to do better and he should not be lying on reports just because he doesn't like me.

 

The fact that you people on staff actually have lower standards for your staff than what you put on players should make you feel embarrassed. Do better. I'm tired of teaching seasoned staff members rules and guidelines every sit.

understandable, I’m simply stating he could have mistaken the bans since they were similar. The difference between them from what I understand is:

 

when I banned you there were 4 sits up and you MRDM’d with an SBC, with lots of logs to support it.

 

when jgpapi banned you, there was 1 sit up and you MRDM’d with an SBC, with not as many logs so the ban was more up for interpretation.

From what I'm seeing in this clip it took Katoon almost 9 minutes to even ask Piklas why he had killed the masterchief even though during that 9 minutes Piklas had said multiple times why he killed and him and Katoon ignored it while speaking to everyone else except Piklas.

What makes this even worse in my eyes is that Katoon claims to not know who it was, so this would lead me to assume he's accusing some random guy of RDM while ignoring the reasoning why and trying to find a way to make it a MRDM ban.

I'm also of the belief that when you become staff it's expected you'll encounter rude people, that's just natural when you decided to become staff on a gmod server and you should be fine to deal with it, if you can't handle people being rude in a video game maybe staffing isn't for you. (I also don't think Piklas was actually being that rude in this sit tbh, just being critical of sitting there for 20 minutes for a nothing burger of a sit which I would think would make anyone get annoyed at the staff for doing nothing) 

I am +1 for some sort of action taken against Katoon for this, but as of right now will wait until other staff have commented and get their thoughts before I decided what exactly that action will be.
