Why were you banned or warned?

i was banned for rdm when I crossfired, I was super apologetic, tried to make sure his stuff didnt get taken because i was a trash collector. furing the sit the man was asked if i should be punished and his first answer was no but it was said so weirdly i didnt understand. so i said wtf, then the guy changed his choice to yes. and dev1 allowed that

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

i should be unbanned because i was having fun in our own area with clay, and i 100% did not mean to shoot the trach collector. me and clay were doing a sniper fight for the past like 20+ minutes and i accidently killed the guy. i tried everything in my power to make it up to him

What you did was crossfire, and I can confirm it was crossfire. I think you're seriously on thin ice with a history like that, and I agree with Mild Tsunami, you should know not to do it any longer. I however disagree with what set your ban off. While I understand where Dev1 is coming from and do not think what he did was any kind of violation of punishment guidelines, I personally think a ban was excessive. I think situations like these heavily involve "use your best judgement" on staff members' behalf, as the situation is a lot more nuanced than it seemed at first. Regardless of circumstance, I do not agree with banning someone for crossfire. Should Foul have lied about his killing of QcHenry being crossfire I would think a ban would be 100% justified, but as someone who watched this go down I can confirm that this was genuinely crossfire. Foul was genuinely apologetic, cooperative, and helpful even before the sit, and I think that is undeserving of a ban. Further I don't see any proof of Foul lying about crossfire in a previous sit. I think you need to clean your act up a bit and get it together, Foul, but I think having fun is important so long as you're not actively trying to ruin someone else's experience, which I don't think he was. Again, I understand Dev1's punishment and think he had the right to ban, but I personally disagree with banning someone who legitimately wants to play, is understanding/apologetic, and didn't even intentionally kill someone.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to make a report. I’m basing my judgement on your Warn/Ban history and this is not even checking verbals which I’m sure there is more. You have had many Warns and bans in the past month for RDM and MRDM I see Dev1 gave you a lenient ban of only 1 Day when it could have been 3 days. Take the day and reflect on how to not RDM so much. -1 on unban

my only recent ban was on2023-09-29, 7:16 AM and the mrdm one i got was all the way back in july when i came on and messed around and had fun, why does so long ago still have to be related to present time? that was almost 3 months ago and ive only gotten 2-3 petty warns throughout the past 1-2 weeks..

You just recently got unbanned for IRDM sure this may of been an accident but still considered RDM -1 for unban

Today you were already warned for RDM by NotDraco, you "crossfired" Hyder. Hyder informed me this was the EXACT same situation and excuse you used in the sit right before this one. I understand you were apologetic but this doesn't excuse the fact that you have 2 RDM warns in the past 2 days, and in my opinion I used the Punishment Guidelines correctly and took it a step up(If continued after being told not to by staff a higher punishment will be given.). I feel like you didn't learn from your previous mistakes if you're continuing to do it. it seems you think if you're apologetic and claim crossfire you can get unlimited warns and never get banned. 

 

I like you as a player, but the victim wanted you punished, and I feel I was lenient on your ban. Take the day off and learn from your mistakes! -1

but he said no at first, and he said it all confusing like, so i said "wtf did he say" and he then changed it to yes. and i did learn from my mistakes but this one was genuine accident. i did not intend to kill him or intend to be a dick. i simply was just trying to have fun with clay and it slipped up. i tried my best to make sure his stuff wasnt taken and i told him to come back because i was sorry. i did everything i could...

I can confirm as someone who watched all of this go down that Foul killing QcHenry was entirely accidental and crossfire. Also do you or @Hyder have a clip of the aforementioned sit? I still totally understand where you're coming from, I just wanna be sure all bases are covered, because from what I see there was no way of telling if the previous sit was crossfire.

Hyder claims to have a clip of the RDM(I don't know anyone that clips a sit), however he's not online right now and most likely won't be for another 12 hours. Regardless like I mentioned, 2 Warns in the past 2 days for the same offence would still warrant a 1 day ban at the minimum for repeat offense in my opinion.

but like i said and clay, this was a complete accident and did my best to fix it because all i was trying to do was have fun with clay,  also i would also like to know where this is coming from? this was never put on my record of warns but yet it was brought up to me during a completley different sit. i thought as guidelines were made that if i did ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING it would have either been noted in my !warns or it would have been said to me that something among those lines were going to be put on my record. But nothings there, i feel like this is a case of he said she said without any valid proof. you didnt even understand that that kill was completley an accicent and you put me right on the offense? I dont understand that for something that WAS a complete ACCIDENT was taken into banning me for a day instead of undertstanding that i had 0 intention to kill him but when the person in the sit changes his mind from no to yes i get an instant ban. regardless all i want to say is that a day ban shouldnt have been put into place. I understand that i have a history but at the same time for a complete accidental crossfire it could have just been a verbal, but i get looked at like i do this on a  hourly basis.
