The player I said these "threats" to where taken to seriously and where never ment as an IRL threat but I can see how it could be interrupted that way, I would have apologized to him but I was removed in a very quick manor with very little time to explain myself. However being banned for 6 mounts seems very harsh when I have no prior warns, there isen't anything in the MOTD rules about IRL Threats or the length and severity of the punishment therefor I believe a warn or a reduced punishment would have done perfect for this instead of a 6MONTH ban but now that im aware of how seriously it could be taken. I would not repeat this action, I was enjoying the server and its people, I would really like to continue enjoying it!

We highly recommend dealing with this in an RP manner. You should not take what people say seriously on the internet.
Harassment should not result in a ban or kick unless it's very severe. 
Start with a verbal warning and then if they refuse to stop or the harassment gets severe, get an admin+ involved.

Staff Harassment: Do not get offended if someone calls you a terrible staff member or anything else. If harassment goes too far, get an admin+ involved.

DDoS threat: 1 month-6 month ban. Request extension right away. 

Constant banter to a staff member while they are trying to resolve their issue could result in a 6 hour - 3-day ban immediately.

Question what exactly did you say for him to think it was a IRL threat? Also its more of the common sense rule with IRL threats and we also have this one DO NOT be a dick, we are all here to have fun and play the game

i understand that what was said was wrong but things that have huge consequences should be listed in the rules a 6 month ban with not warning when u have never had a warning, or a ban is extreme and should be identified on the rules. its common sense but the consequences were not

Most of the time we perma for this. You got lucky it was a 6 month. I will wait to see what other staff say and to see what dev. I will remain NEUTRAL for now.

another thing i want to point out is i mention that he is the threatening the cop and he did not correct me this a rp server and yes a bird talking is weird just as weird as a cop cuffing a bird but if anything, it was directed to the cop not the person behind the screen and  i wanted to follow your guy's clipping rules to show that the subject was drop and forgotten.

We love to educate but threating to kill someone's family is not funny in any way or form and you def should have thought about that before hand. As i said ima wait to see what other staff say before changing my answer.

I would love to mention that all these punishments in the guidelines you listed just so happens to leave out THIS EXACT SCENARIO.

This could have been a permanent ban instead of 6 months. So I personally believe you got off easy. -1

Sorry but you sound old enough to me to know what to and what not to say. 

Rontu isn't the kid but we do have kids playing on this server, what do you think would happen if you told that to one ? You think they would just take it as a joke and not get affected by it ?

“I will kill your entire family, I will kill your entire family you heard me”  and also “Ex: (Player X tells Player Y he is going to find where they live and kill their family: perma ban)”  you obviously old enough to know that saying your gonna kill someone’s family isn’t a joke. I can understand fucking with somebody that you know (my irl job is commercial construction and I’m an apprentice I’m the butt of all the jokes) but there’s a line to cross and you ran over man. As everyone said before this easily could’ve been a perma you got off lucky -1 for the ban Appeal 

Take the time off and hopefully you understand what you can and can’t say to people

You sound like you're old enough to know that you shouldn't say these types of things to anyone, if its a kid or not. And just the fact that you repeated yourself two times and said "you heard me" clearly shows you didn't think it was wrong at the time. I hope you can take the time off the server to really think about why this could be scary for a lot of people to hear over the internet. -1 for unban
