Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I did nothing wrong Who warned/banned you? Client How long were you warned or banned for? 6 months I was previously playing on the sever for a few hours had ZERO ISSUES. Then my buddies hopped on discord and asked me to come play sea of thieves with them. I exit gmod, launched sea of thieves, discovered my one friend didnt have it downloaded so we all decided to hop back on gmod. I told everyone to hop on the server, and I was instantly banned upon getting into spawn. I was so confused at first I thought i was banned by mistake by the staff, but it said Client banned me for Client Side Lua. To trigger our anti-cheat system, you would've had to either run a command or have had something installed in your Garry's Mod files that was detetcted, therefore causing you to get banned. Okay I know I am no longer staff but I do feel like I should be allowed to make a reply seeing as I had dealt with many appeals regarding people being banned by the servers anti-cheat, and also have had several people directly message me about these type of situations. While it is usually pretty accurate, the anti-cheat system does and has indeed banned people at random & without any valid reason - this is not a common occurrence but it has happened multiple times. You are implying the anti-cheat system has 100% accuracy which just is not true. Also, you & other staff are saying unless this guy helps you there is no way for you to help him but are not providing any suggestions on how exactly he can help you or somehow prove that he was not hacking or anything. If he truly did not run any program or cheat or anything how exactly is he supposed to prove that? I am not saying Herbert did not do anything wrong as I have no clue to what happened leading to his ban. But I just do feel the need to point out the possibility that there was an error made with the anti-cheat system leading to a false ban. I am pretty sure the superadmins are able to check & see what exactly triggered the anti-cheat causing it to ban him, so maybe that could be done to provide more information on what happened? I have absolutely nothing to hide, and i have told the truth to you guys the entire time. I have no reason to lie to you guys. I explained everything that happened that lead me to getting banned, and i feel like im being punished for no reason. If you guy can go back into the console that far, PLEASE do it.
