To Regards to how things have been handled on Oct 1st

There is a major difference between a swep that is completely broken for anyone that is not staff & has a value of zero dollars, and an exploit which could give you unlimited legendary items.

1. Those staff tools are useless to anyone that is not staff
2. They have no value at all, they are only worth what people will pay to own something that can obtained for free by anyone

3. Those items could be obtained by someone with no malicious intent. To ban anyone that is not staff for having an adminstick that doesn't work means we would lose a lot of players over a harmless glitch

These players were banned for abusing an exploit that made them money. I don't know of anyone that got wealthy off of selling admin sticks, but I will say that if they had abused this exploit to obtain one, enchant it, and then try to sell it since we have been logging, they are banned.

most people unknowingly picked this stuff up what about those people?

I addressed that already in my lengthy reply.

Players like BunBun that claim they just "found an item laying on the ground and picked it up" is oviously impossible to prove, especially when we have conflicting logs that shows he was present multiple times when other people were abusing the exploit (we even logged players who were nearby when an exploit was taking place).

This entire incident feels like a 1984 cover up no matter which way you look at it. I don't care if it ruins the economy (economy is kind of fucked as is anyways). So many people got banned here that there's no way you can tell me each and everyone is 100% guilty of exploiting, and 100% guilty of intent to exploit, and because of that, I feel everyone should be unbanned or at the least a heavily reduced ban length.

I have never stuck my neck out ever to get a player or in this case, a number of players, unbanned before, but this very much feels like a huge fuck up on Sugah and Rubik's end as well as players' end. It would be so much better for everyone if this was NOT swept under the rug.

what draws the line of non-obtainables rubik

The line is drawn where to attempt to gain a profit from it.

Let's say player A kidnaps a staff on duty and gets a adminstick. He picks it up, realizes it's worthless because he can't inventory it, drop it, or anything like that.

Player B does the exact same thing, except he uses an exploit that allows him to actually drop it. He puts an enchantment token on it, gets a legy & now he's able to inventory it and sell it on the AH for 500k.

Player A should not be banned for this, he did not do anything wrong. A bug in the game allowed him to obtain an item he should not have, but that was the end of it. Player B tries to abuse said bug for a profit & succeeds.

That is where the line is drawn.

I dont think it tipped the economy at all to be brutally honest but I do agree how that could be seen as exploiting

Since the addition of the AH the economy of titsrp has placed monetary value of certain items that may not have any value such as unusable SWEPS for class jobs CCs and more.

To simply say an item has no value is dogmatic and crude to say the least. players have a since of achievement what ever that may be when they get these items

You are simply not reading my responses. I am fully aware of this and I even addressed it in my previous reply. I know how the economy works, this specific exploit required players to do multiple steps to obtain an item for free, and then enchant it. I know with 100% certainty that no one, including staff, spawns with a legendary adminstick in their weapon wheel.

Let me reiterate, these players were not banned for having an unobtainable item, they were banned for abusing an exploit that allowed them to drop something that they spawned with, enchant it, and sell for a profit. That is totally different than obtaining a useless item through an in-game mechanic such as kidnapping.

So you think it's okay for players to be walking around with 800+ million dollars, maxed out gangs,  committing raids & bank heists using custom classes with 50 weapon slots, all purchased with exploited money?
