[Official] Suggestions for the Server

Revising previous post of mine:

 

I think we should do away with the current system we have. It is very glitch. Till plots glitch out in grow spots. It is hard to sell the raw material because you have to carry a giant cardboard box around. Selling processed drugs requires putting the material, which sometimes doesn't properly stack, into an explosive processor. You then have to, 1 by 1, feed each processed drug to the drug buyer, then get the stack of money from behind the dealer. All very glitchy, to the point where most players try it once and go "Why do this when I can print". Sure, we already have cocaine and weed, but its useless if barely anybody uses it. Also, olives? Why? Why can we sells olives for $50 less than COCAINE? 

 

1: Replace weed/cocaine system

This is a big leap, I know. I'm going to list multiple addons, some I like and some I dislike, to get some input from the community.

The cocaine addon is different from the one I described in my last post. This one is updated and new.

 

2: Methamphetamine and Amphetamine

I still think we should have "Two" meth addons. I say "two" because in rp context they are different, made differently, etc.

 

The Enhanced Meth Addon represents amateur drug making. Idiots in their basement trying to make meth with some pots, pans, drug store chemicals, and a stove. This would not be very profitable, but profitable enough to be utilized by new players looking to earn money and for older players looking for an easier way to farm money without being passive (printers, bitcoins, are passive, for example.)

 

The current meth addon we have would represent some next level shit. This is the method that Walter White and the cartels use to move thousands of grams of meth at a time. Real intense and dangerous to make, but the payoff is great. Takes some skill, but if you can learn how to make it and you have the time, its the better way to go.

 

Unlike stated above, I highly doubt the server would "clump" into one addon or the other. That would literally be impossible. How would a new player who spawns with 20k be able to purchase 30k worth of materials? We would have the server evenly divided. New players and lazy/unskilled players may use the Enhanced Meth Addon. It provides profit of roughly 4k per batch, yet is easy to master. The other half would take the time to learn how to make the advanced meth, and would spend hours getting rich off of it. People will stay with the enhanced meth because it provides quick easy profit and people will stick with the advanced meth because it has a GREAT payout (making the intermediate acid means you get 10l, and most recipes call for no more than 5. At the very least you could make 2 identical batches of meth, of the same purity, within an hour or so.) Neither would overshadow the other because they both have pros and cons suited for certain people

 

I think the cocaine would also fit into the earlier game. With roughly the same profit margin as meth, but slightly higher. Say 5.5k profit roughly. This is because cocaine is, from my viewpoint harder to make. Instead of just mixing some chemicals, you have to do a lot of plant growing and organic processes to get the materials for cocaine. It would take slightly longer and yield slightly more profit. For any player who either wants to quickly make a small amount of money or for players who are new and need money to do things. One again, Enhanced Meth, Advanced Meth, nor cocaine would overshadow each other. Although cocaine is only slightly harder, it is rarely seen, so most must spend an hour learning how. The enhanced meth is everywhere, making it something easy, familiar, but not too profitable. Lastly, the advanced meth is harder to learn but provides much, much, much more profit. 

 

Even going ANOTHER step farther, any weed addon would probably be easier than enhanced meth, but would yield only 2k profit. Just enough to be worth it (2k within 5 minutes is weed, 4k within 8-9 minutes is enhanced meth, max of 100k per batch (average 70k) with two batches back to back means roughly 140k-200k for advanced meth, but is very hard to master). Each and every drug system would be unique, take some time to learn, and would benefit over the other in certain ways, while not benefiting over others in other certain ways. Each would have a place for a certain sub playerbase on our server, depending on time, skill, money to invest, etc. 

 

3: Replace the useless Drug Dealer

The stuff above might be a lot to take in. However, I think I have a way to organize it. The addition of three new classes, removal of a current class, and edit of a current class.

Weed Grower: 4 slots : Would grow the weed

Cocaine Cook: 4 slots : Would make cocaine

Hood Meth Cook: 4 slots : Makes "hood meth" aka stovetop meth aka enhanced meth addon

Amphetamine Cook: 3 slots : Make advanced amphetamine with factory like machines

 

 

Since drugs would no longer be consumable, there would be absolutely no reason for a drug dealer class. This could easily be removed. The amphetamine cook job slot would be cut in half, promoting players to branch out and try the other means of manufacturing (it would make sense to have more "smaller" players knowing how to grow weed, make cocaine, and make stovetop meth than scientists gone large scale amphetamine producers)

 

 

tl:dr Current drug system glitchy af. Replace with new weed and coke system. Add 2nd meth addon that makes shit meth for less cash. No addon is better or worse than other because each addon requires different skills for different profit. New jobs for all new addon systems. Remove drug dealer. Edit amphetamine cook slots from 3 to 6. Other system jobs are 4.

 

Mind you I'm only including interactive addons. None of the "plant or press grow and wait x minutes for money".

Jokes aside, the cocaine addon looks pretty cool, I'll see if I can find a crack for it and make a video on it brb

Although i am working on a plan for a suggestion that is going to take some time.


How about we add in that tool that allowed you to pick out materials from anywhere in the map and use them?

 

I actually love this idea,do this and use my idea and it would be material-mania up in here!

Map changes are always something in the back of my mind. No regular RP player likes this map (for the most part). It's dull, has optimization problems and is just so generic.

 

But because our community players aren't the majority and rather the minority, the majority picks what they play on that that's servers with people on it and server's with familiar maps. If every player that played RP was interested in the map, they would most likely be playing on different and more flourished maps. Once you make people download more content such as a map they just stop the download and look for a new server (I actually used to do this because back then the workshop didn't exist and you had to download the maps off a SVN and import it into your directory and 90% of the time it never worked)

 

I am always down for a new map. I wouldn't mind changing to a really fleshed out map but the bottom line is that it will just kill the server. The hive goes where they wanna go which is what I think of the majority of DarkRP players. If you change maps to a more fleshed out and more open map, I bet your community will mature a significant amount because kids don't really play on those maps from what I am aware of.

 

But while I am down for a new map, I won't do it. I have done it over 10 times only for it to fail each time. Once you start as a downtown server, you're always a downtown server. If you want to prove me wrong, give me money to open up a second server on the map of your choice, I will import all of the addons + other addons required for a new map and we will see how it goes, if it all goes well and it's not dead 100% of the time, I will pay you back your original investment.
