Birddog6 Posted October 11, 2019 Share Posted October 11, 2019 :Your Steam Name: Trench Gun Your in-game name: Birddog6 Your SteamID: Why were you warned/banned?: Minging/NLR Careleos was attempting to take a photo of the monkeys, I rampaged early on, killed two monkeys, Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? : Because Carelos should grow thick skin, learn to mitigate situations that he finds unfavorable or unpleasant better, and the fact that the hand that came down struck only one of the flies in the swarm. Because if he fails to punish all, then it's textbook bias and it's unnecessary. Along with a blatant, perhaps, attempt at me to get troll and little and be weird (after all, we have a whole plethora of jobs.. just to be weird. Just to cause shenanigans.) and get in the photo. I see a bunch of people, me, being me (before I even knew they were taking a photo, mind you) and rampaged, schwacked one or two, and then switched to Smoke. Undercover officer was trading shots, handcuffed me, said I was now a prisoner of the CIA and I was being tortured, I asked an admin to uncuff me, I walked back in, threw a smoke grenade in retaliation for the stun gun/being shot at and missed. Careleos told me that I was breaking NLR, and warned me for it. I told him I couldn't believe it, and he said that I wasn't allowed back into the room (of which you can't own the doors and there's no rules I can find in the ruleset, even under the Misc ruleset). I then switched to John Cena (so that I wouldn't be under the long arm of the law) and changed my job title to Hairless Monkey. An obvious ploy to get into the picture, have fun, or just be dumb in general. Because that's what a class with John Cena throwing a chair that makes the sound effect is supposed to do, right, just be dumb? I also was upset with Carleos because he was telling people left and right to get out, in regards to me, claiming NLR, when there were the people I killed in the rampage behind him. All in all, it was a bruh moment that escalated from harmless shenanigans to propblocking, favoritism, and an unwarranted, frankly ludicrous 7-day ban. And instead of speaking to me directly, Careleos told me that I was not allowed back in that room- to which I scoured the NLR rules and- NLR exists and please use your best judgment to determine whether or not it is okay to return to a place after death. Most people don't care if you died to a hit at PD and come back. People will care if you died in a raid and come back. If you want to play it safe don't return to your place of death until the time is up, no one likes a sore loser. In this section, there are examples of what is considered NLR and what doesn't usually matter to most people. And if you did die in a raid/heist, its simply over. You CANNOT come back and continue raiding/defending unless you die to a natural event. If your raid is interrupted by a natural event (such as a train, being teleported by the pickle statue or a sit, any raid cooldown timers are voided. You may restart your raid immediately. During the Kill the VIP, Defend the Vault, and Golden Printer Events, there is no NLR if you are trying to attack/defend the Event (NLR applies to all other situations during these events). This does NOT mean you can continually raid the same base if the Golden Printer is inside it. I've highlighted the parts that would cover me in this instance, in my opinion- 1. I was not raiding. 2. I didn't kill anyone or attack anyone, arrest, collect bounties. I was John Cena, the hairless monkey. Not Smoke, the recently unarrested grenade-happy cop. Careleos claims that it was a gas grenade, but that would be mass ARDM, due to the toxic nature of the grenades. 3. I had switched jobs and roles. 4. I had no intent of raiding or causing harm, because there was nothing in that room, nothing. You can't even own the door. 5. I was not seeking revenge, I had ample time to grab it. I can't fathom how my shenanigans there in a room while people were trying to take a picture warranted a week ban. A warning? maybe, I'll take it, I don't agree with it, but I don't think a 7-day ban is what is in order. heck, he didn't even just talk to me one time. He only made demands, never brought me to a sit area to speak to me privately, gave me no time to speak my case, or even just asked me to stop (if he told me how serious/the important the picture was, I would've). The rules are also vague and don't paint a fair picture of what he charged me with, allegedly. I just wanted to be in the picture, as John Cena, the Hairless Monkey. Who warned/banned you and for how long?: Careleos for one week, after warning me for NLR. Carelos Posted October 11, 2019 Share Posted October 11, 2019 When I checked your previous bans I saw 3 previous bans for MNLR and in total like 6+ previous bans. You also were intentionally trying to minge and I can prove that with the logs of you saying to go and minge me in OOC. I also told you not to come back or it'll be more then a warn and you still continued to come back? I'll provide the logs: I clearly said if you come back again I will ban you (Because you were minging) yet you still returned? Right after I warned you, you came back again. Then there's the logs of you telling people to go and intentionally mess up our photo. I didn't get a picture of the laws but I believe from what I remember you said is: Carelos is trying so hard to take a photo in spawn, everyone go mess it up. Or something along those lines. And the reason for such a long ban was because of you having 2-3 previous MNLR bans (When I checked it was 3 but Succ said otherwise?) shouldn't you know what NLR is? Or like freshen up on the MOTD and stuff so you stop getting banned? I believe this ban was justified so i'm going to -1 I'll let other staff members give their input. I should not have rampaged there. It is, after all, still spawn. 2. The logs you showed everyone prove my point that you made no effort to separate me from the situation and explain yourself. 3. Coba is right again, that area is the spawn area. And rping in spawn is warnable in the same regard. 4. Why didn't you give the people I killed warnings for breaking NLR? 5. Why did you not include my responses in the evidence you presented? 6. Please do not belittle me, this is a civil discourse. That is unsat, killer. I have sophomoric and juvenile humor and roleplay, but I am not malicious and I don't appreciate being talked down to. Please don't do it to me. I would not do it to you. Like, did you bring him to sitland and tell him that he needed to stop doing whatever it is he was doing? Like it was said in Mod Chat, me jailing him BOTH times created a sit I believe. I clearly told him not to come back and I'm pretty sure he was using VC so it wouldn't show in chat logs. Even after i told him not to come back he still returned and he clearly knew I was going to ban him as I said. I still believe this is justified and I wont be changing my judgement. Also none of this was really about the rampage, it was the part that you came back and switched to smoke and threw in a grenade just to "mess" with us.
