What perks do you feel like are useless?

 

I know there is two perks that you unlock that says "Cannot be tracked by a bounty hunter"... And then a few levels later it says "20% chance to not be tracked by a bounty hunter"

Gang's update is the probably the only reason I returned from a Gmod hiatus. Getting to recruiting people into your gang and rp along with them was one of the most fun experience I've ever had in Titsrp because being in a gang makes you feel like belonging into a thriving community, and also I myself as a gang owner, enjoys seeing the gang growing. Its a much needed addition to the game and probably promoted a lot more RP in the server than previously.

 

And to answer your question Piklas TheDD is now level 29, 29% more til level 30 and getting our 3rd talent :3

I think you misread those perks since 1 of them is that there is a 20% less chance to be chosen as the bounty hunters victim while the other one removed the red dot a bounty hunter gets to be able to find you easier.

 

I personally think both those perks are good in ther respective spots and the only ones that I feel are kinda bad are "Full Range" since you don't really have a way to see the options unless you are near it and the "Infused GMO" also feels like it could be a double-edged sword as not all food stats are actually good/fun to have on you. Now I don't have real suggestions to how to fix those issues but it can be brought up that most talents have a clear purpose and serves that porpose well in my opinion.

Update is good but they need to fix/tune a few things like certain useless perks and the somewhat OP weapon modding. Also the whole XP grind system is super easy to exploit (You especially know that for obvious reasons).

 

Since this game is RP at its core, an XP system doesn't fit in properly in a lot of cases which is why the XP restriction on categories was implemented. I want to give people XP for playing the game but it doesn't stop Jimmy and Bobby from sitting in the corner fining each other and what not to gain XP. There isn't supposed to be a grind, the whole point of the gang system was to just work towards something at some point and reward you for playing the game.

 

What perks do you feel like are useless? You know how difficult it is to think of 50 different perks, 27 gang talents (which weren't supposed to even be a thing) and have every single one of them be worth the effort? There will be some in there that don't appeal to you or are blatantly there because I couldn't think of anything else at the time. Some perks were swapped out for performance reasons such as being able to get an item when someone sells it at a very low chance. It might make a good perk though.

 

Behind the scenes the current stuff in development are:

  • New Scoreboard (this is done)
  • New F4 Menu (haven't started this)
  • Rework of boombox (not rly my idea so don't throw a fit but this is 90% done, we also have a custom model now)
  • New Reputation System (this is like 20%)

After that, I want to experiment with some web stuff and set up a ban page and add in the rest of the reworked jobs and newer jobs like the King, Blackbeard, ect

I like the fact that earning XP is roleplay related and not sitting in the base all day. Other then that, gangs are just... It's just there. I see it as three ways right now - It's pretty much an exclusive group for friends... Or it's just "invite everyone to get gang xp so we can get perks", or legitimately roleplay based, such as cop gangs and such.

 

I don't think it's a bad update at all, it's just there though. It's cool. If I wanted to be in a gang where it actually felt like being in a gang, I'd play gangwars. (which doesn't exist anymore, it's under a different name now).

 

I feel like members of the community abused and exploited ways to get XP, thus it's now a grind fest. Honestly, I don't care about the gang perks and talents, yes - they are great when you get them - especially CP related talents. It just takes a while to get them now.
