It does seem like unfortunate timing due to you leaving before final deliberations were finished. Though I don't have any hard evidence, you were doing this even yesterday and Goddess Anna def didn't seem too pleased about what you were doing. The copying of the profile pic doesn't seem like too much of an issue to me nor does the name change, though it does come off as targeting and is annoying at the very least. My main issue is your anon message. You are bringing in comments that are found on her steam profile, though public, not a part of the game or her rp. To me, that's the biggest issue of targeting I see and was possibly something that they didn't want all players to know, exp when there are underage kids. 

 

Though that could be something that she does and advertises on her free time, its not for you to advertise to the rest of the server.

 

 

To this point, sure, it might not fit under this guideline of harassment, but to me, it does still fit under the guise of personal attacks. It was not done in a friendly, consensual manner, nor do I think at the end of the day it was done in a way of banter. To that point, you were given the minimum ban for that subject. -1 for appeal

You were not banned for using slurs or racism, you were banned for targeted player toxicity / harassment I.E: repeatedly making demeaning anonymous comments about another player's appearance and personal content. "Just trolling" and "Making fun of them" does not make it acceptable. 

 

You were not required to receive a warning or a sit for the behavior to be actionable. Staff reviewed the evidence, confirmed it violated the guidelines, and I issued the ban. Your claim that no sit occurred is correct, sure, but you went offline as the final decision was made.

 

Your prior history of player toxicity was also taken into account when determining the length.

 

Bottom Line Up Front:

You were banned for targeted harassment, not slurs or racism, so I firmly believe that the ban has validity, all things considered: Staff online at the time reviewed evidence showing repeated anonymous comments that were subjected as demeaning which was directed at another player.

 A 3d ban is a pretty harsh punishment for this. I personally think asking you to stop, making a note of it & issuing a ban if the bullying continued would have been a more appropriate response in this situation. That doesn’t appear to be the protocol that was followed, so I am going to be + 1 to change this to a warn.

This isn't even close to be considered harassment. All you used was public info, and on top of that you were never told to stop. She can block / mute you in game if she doesn't want to see that from you. 

 

Did you go a little far? Yeah maybe a little. But since you were never told to stop or even brought to a sit about it, this seems very far fetched to be banned for. +1 for removal

The only thing I feel truly punishable here is you spamming OOC. I do not see much substantial evidence towards harassment over discord, users have free will to block/mute, and discord even has an ignore feature, if he had continued to reach out afterwards, this would have more basis. You can't be harrased if you aren't at least taking the steps towards stopping it in my opinion. +1 for reduce to warn for spamming OOC

If she did not tell you to stop or use any of the tools we have to mute or block you then that is on her. But you did take it a bit far in my opinion and it do not help that you where spamming OOC as well with it.

But warning seems more fair here then a ban.

Getting banned for harrassing someone on anon seems like fair punishment to me other than  that thanks to testicle and vex for making the case easier to view.

My opinion is going to be -1 for reducation or unban.

Harassment should not result in a ban or kick unless it's very severe. 

Start with a verbal warning and then if they refuse to stop or the harassment gets severe, get an admin+ involved.

 

While I agree that this IS harassment this should have been a note first then a warn/ban. +1 to make it a note per the punishment guidelines.

General consensus is Ban will be removed - Changed to a Verbal. I'll forward this to Admins just hit one of them up when you're ingame to get the ban removed
