Steve Harrington Posted July 21 Share Posted July 21 Hello good sir, Steve Harrington here, this was actually a crow sit/discussion from the beginning. He dmed me on discord about the situation as well as talked to him about anything that was sent recent, during this time he sent me ooc messages between yourself and crow when you weren’t happy with his sit. I looked over the logs he shared with me as well as talked to him to see if it was something that was directed/ instigates towards someone(I’ll put a screenshot of the logs below.) During this time he told me you guys were talking in ooc about it and you openly said a few things about crow then said your “kos you” line at the end. After that line you also said a few more things towards crow. I wasn’t on at the time to see any /anon messages and crow didn’t mention any to me during our dms or the sit. I do think with you already having a prior for irl threats that this is a little low of a ban when you have done it recently and have a lot of priors for player tox(you got off of a 1month ban I believe just over a month ago for irl threats). We do have to pay attention to our wording/ phrasing when talking to others. I know we are in a online community and being behind a screen no one can tell your actions other than yourself/ the person who said the remark. In this situation tho I do feel this was a threat that shouldn’t have been said and I feel it was directed towards crow. This being said I’m -1 for change in ban. Though you say that you "were talking about in game", the message that you sent after leads me to believe that it was pointed towards irl. Lets break it down: "idk who you are but I will find out". Sure, you could have been talking about finding out who sent the anon message, but not even 30 sec later you start talking about your view towards staff and about how you supposedly haven't been treated right in the past. The timeline of events does seem like at the time you knew who sent the message, and if that's the case, than you would have known who Crow was in game. But the fact that you use this to preface your statement prior to "and kos you" to me seems like what you really were trying to do your best to loophole an obvious, blatant irl threat. According to steve, you were also talking to crow prior to you saying this, then continue talking to him after with no clear separation that normally people would use when addressing anon specifically. Example: "whoever sent that anon message..." I understand that you could have been heated based off of the anon message, but by no means was this the way to go about things. I get that some people have an ego that they are trying to protect, but imo, its never that deep. If something like this, in a game, can get you this heated, it might best to take a break in general. Anyways, you do have priors for PTox including irl threats and misusing "kys". Based off of this, you should have known better that these actions could get you in trouble. Both of these actions resulted in your previous 1mo ban that ended barely over a month ago, which with how priors and bans work, this current ban seems fair enough to me. For these reasons, it's a -1 for appeal until possible further evidence or explanations. Edit: After reading through the evidence again, and the lack of official logs showing time stamps of things like anon, I don't think it's 100% conclusive that you were targeting Crow in an irl perspective. I do however stand by what I said in my break down that words can get you in trouble and that you should try to be more intentional when speaking (though not required). After reading through some of your responses, it does seem like you might be struggling with some personal things like anger issues. It's just my opinion, but this shouldn't be the space that you lash out on and if you are getting rage baited by basic things like being called a "pussy" by anon, then you should figure out some ways to decompress. That's just my perspective so take it with a grain of salt. Anyways, I will be changing my vote to +1 for ban removal. Cr0w Posted July 21 Share Posted July 21 From my point of view and what you said during the sit and OOC, it looked like you directed this to me after being given a verbal warning, not that you meant it about the anonymous message. In your prior ban/warn for threats I gave you multiple chances to calm down and told you to mute people that made you angry, but you still continued to make IRL threats against others. I gave you a very light ban for the things you said and before your ban I told you to work on your anger issues and not to make such statements again. If someone was in fact talking shit in anon chat (which it hasn't been proven or disproven) I'd 100% understand that message in context to that. Again if he said I'm going to find your house and KOS you IRL or something around that that'd be different. Shit that'd constitute a perma ban. But this isnt that. So again +1 from me. I do not see an IRL threat in there just a basic crashout. Although I don't think your spat with Crow warrants a ban your attitude sucks and didn't help you. I hope you will change after this point, because of your priors you will receive no leniency for Player Toxicity. +1 for ban removal changed to warn.
