The Pirate Captain Posted July 7 Share Posted July 7 (edited) In-Game Name the pirate captain Your Steam ID [U:1:1062592365] Why were you banned or warned? for player toxicity 4th offence for posting a screenshot that a admin made to ban me with. let me make this clear, i did not accuse anyone, i just state how this sign should be allowed if the server really cared about freedom of speech. i didnt say the sign was right or fact, the fact is the screenshot got me banned. thats the evidence i used, not calling a mod a p Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? i made the mistake of assuming that i was allowed to post a screenshot in a replie of the topic about religious preaching and rules that reflect the minors in the server, i though i could use it as a point, the argument at the time was about how rules that prohibit freedom of speech shouldnt be allowed on the server, so i reposted a image a admin used to ban me, as a example of how someone having bible study signs shouldnt be allowed this text screen i got banned for isnt allowed. "if preaching bible studies is allowed then so should this:" i used what is considered "slippery slope" fallacy. i assumed i was allowed to use it as in the context of the conversation it was there to prove a point. the point that freedom of speech doesnt matter, I AM NOT ASSUMING THE MODERATORS ARE WEIRDOS, I DID NOT IMPLY, I SIMPLY REPOSTED THE SCREENSHOT FOR EVIDENCE PURPOSES OF FREEDOME OF SPEECH NOT MATTERING also i find it quiet silly when im getting banned for player toxicity when in the same discussion there are 2 players being toxic and blatantly transphobic Who warned/banned you? The Pirate Captain Posted July 7 Author Share Posted July 7 (edited) i cant repost it not even as a example or for my evidence sake. it wasnt even used in game, or in a big discussion, just in one where the topic fit the repost being used as a example. lets make a comparison here, so me using my evidence from a report made about me in a discussion where the evidence fits in the topic of disscussion, but the 2 people in the discussion get to continue on like this never happened. so let me get this clear, me reposting a admins screenshot of what i did to get banned, is not allowed, but these people "joking' "trolling" "fucking around" are less toxic then what i did. i really want to understand why you would think that is. You then proceeded to do it and get punished by madx, then did it again with pibble. Technically this was 3 strikes, we have a 3 strike system for the less severe situations. You then decided to post in your own discussion thread, talking about if talking about bible studies is allowed, then this should be allowed. You KNOW its not allowed and yet you decided to bring it up in your own thread you started. This is the 4th time this has been an issue, and I clearly should not have been lenient the first time. You keep trying to see what you can get away with and you found out your limit. Normally it is 3 strikes, you got 4. Staff can respond with their opinions and I'll check it out tomorrow, but that's pretty much the jist of this whole situation. i just dont believe i deserve the strike to begin with, yes i made a discussion about bible studies and why you should implemented better rules and guardrails if your going to allow minors in the server. on my last ban appeal you guys said if i wanted to "protest" "debate" about it i should take it to the forums and make a topic about it instead of putting weird signs in game or "clearly it was done because issac had warned you" when i had a agenda from the beginning. i made a professional debate and warned people in the topic that it might be a little dramatic. i had one person who actually debated and the others were extremely transphobic. yes i did it on an alt, why? well would you take a serious debate from a infamous troll like me, i already have zert koban being weird in discord. why did i make this discussion, because i was told to, i didnt want to cause drama in game so i took it to the forums and tried to get actual feedback. why dont i think i deserver this, because i reposted a image of my bannable offense, i used EVIDENCE, not a trolling spam post, a post in a genuine discussion about the problem ive noticed. what was so wrong of me trying to start a meaningful discussion with the community and using evidence to support my debate. i dont see how i was toxic in reposting the image, how could you tell me i couldn't use evidence that was used to get me banned to try and show how unjustified the ban really was. i sent it once, in a discussion in the forums, not in the discord, nor did i outright accusse anybody of doing anything, i used it to show the facts of the debate. i genuinely dont believe that you could see that and consider me worthy of getting a strike for ptox. especially when those messages by dunkerwinkle and kert kobean are literally right there. Just a quick tip, if something gets you banned, continually talking posting said thing, will get you in trouble, again. You're getting banned because you seem to think its on a level with the screnshots you took. You have been told Pedo accusations and predatory remarks are a no-go. Whether you think it was suitable for use as evidence in a discussion is irrelevant. It got you banned in the first place and now you will be perm'd for it. Best of luck in your next community.
