A mod called 'wathc out for the steel cahior' warned me and then gave me a 1 week MRDM ban for killing people with guns as Michael Myers where I was either defending myself or killing people with 74 HP and below. He claimed "michael myers doesnt use a gun" and said that had been the case since last year. I've killed plenty of low health cops and mods with guns over the past year and had never gotten in trouble for it before so I asked him to talk to a senior mod he responded "i dont need to". Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I've never gotten in trouble for this in any other instance of gun usage as michael myers idk why he was so unwilling to get a second opinion in that moment a warn and a 1 week ban smh. It sounds like Steel Chair had already verbally warned you that (at least currently) Michael Meyers is only allowed to kill people under 75 hp using the knife and you still kept gunning them down. If you think a staff member is misinterpreting a rule, bring it up with a senior mod or write a report about it. Don’t keep breaking the same rule knowing you will catch a ban. I think Steel Chair is right in his interpretation of the rules here. Considering he issued a verbal and you still continued to disregard the warning, I think you earned the ban. He was wrong when he said it had been the case since last year because no other mod or senior mod has ever punished me for this and have told others in sits that Michael Myers is allowed to use guns so I asked him to get a 2nd opinion from a senior mod and he refused so it seemed like he didn't care about ensuring his interpretation was fully accurate. He claimed "michael myers doesnt use a gun" The only part of this that is wrong on BOTH people here is that yes while you may pull out a gun and use it IN SELF DEFENSE ONLY (as is not specified in the job description or in a rule anywhere I can find) you MAY NOT kill players below 75 HP with said gun as it is specific in the job description that you must use your KNIFE to do so. Though, you actively admit to using the rifle to fulfil your job, which would just be RDM. tali Posted July 3 Share Posted July 3 Using a gun for self defense only is perfectly ok, as shown in your clip. But using a gun for any other purpose, while the job description clearly states to use a knife to kill people under 75 HP is not allowed. You may have killed other staff members like that and not gotten in trouble, it's because most of us don't care when we are RDM'd unless we lost an item. The ban seems completely fair to me, considering you continued after being verbal'd to stop.
