Although I disagree with why I can't say it I understand in the future not to use the word. Also the reason you were warned was because you already have a somewhat recent verbal for saying slurs. The warn is 100% justified. Weve had the same situations where a man of african american descent thinks they can say the hard r which is wrong. Like Parth was saying its completely allowed for people to say retard and nigga. Regardless of who types the slur we have to give due punishment with discretion and proper guidelines. Racism / Vulgar / Sexual language in OOC should result in a verbal OR gigamute for 30 minutes (along with adding a note on their profile) OR warn first depending on staff discretion, followed by a 1 - 3-day ban depending on continued offenses/previous history. This isnt directly stating homophobia but this is what it falls under for us. Parth was ok to give a warning for seeing a homophobic slur, because of staff discretion. Unless some kind of damning evidence is posted that others were saying the f-slur and he was actively ignoring them. I wouldve handed a warn out for this as well but if you were to come into the appeal more at the mercy and not pointing fingers it looks alot better, ive been teaching myself that recently too. Henchy Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 If you would like to say slurs we typically don't care if it's said through party chat/gang since those chats are private and staff have no business of punishing you for that (as long as you aren't saying anything absolutely criminal), but you just cannot be saying them around people or in OOC. The F Slur, and various other slurs are not allowed on our server (even if you're referring to yourself). We allow you to use the word retard on our server and you did not violate any rules on that part. You did violate rules on the F slur, which is why I am a -1 for Verbal Warn Removal.
